I was driving today and looked down and my gauge was reading E. My question is is the fuel pump and float/sending unit all one? Or are they 2 seperate things? I know if there both together its gunna cost a ton to replace. Any ideas on the cheapest but right way to fix this? Im about to look up prices here in a minute.

They are seperate units, the fuel pump is on the right side of the gas tank, and the sending unit is on the left side of the tank

Depending on how the float is attacked, you can probaby grab one off something else and rig it up somehow, as long as it floats and you can attach it I don't see why it wouldn't work

If a float is $50, then the aftermarket Fuel Tank Sending Unit is a steal! If you have to drop your tank, might as well replace the whole thing. If your luck is like mine, youd replace just the float & then the sender would crap out a few days later!
