Hey 'Stang community!

First, let me say that I've been a fan of the Fox-body Mustang since the late 80s -- when I was looking for my first 'real' car, I was considering 2 cars: 1985/86 Ford Mustang GT or 84/85 Toyota Celica Supra. Unfortunately, I chose the Supra and ever since (15 years) I've been addicted to Japanese cars... I've owned over a dozen high-performance (term used loosely here) Japanese cars: Supra, Z32TT, Civic, 240sx, etc.

A couple days ago, a friend of mine offered up the opportunity to compete in the Targa Newfoundland road rally/race:

Luckily for me, he has a caged 1990 Black Ford Mustang GT 5spd (30K original miles!) and an open spot on the roster! I'll be leaving for the race in approx. 7 days. In true bad@ss fashion, I'll be driving the 'Stang to Newfoundland, Canada from NY.

Here's a list of the mods that I have planned for the car (on their way hopefully):

-- Front Tie Bar
-- K-frame bar
-- Rear Tie Bar
-- Tokico HP Blue Struts/shocks
-- Ford Racing Super Springs
-- Hawk Black brake pads
-- High temp brake fluid (recommendations?)
-- SS Brake Lines
-- 16" 'Pony' Wheels (painted matte black) w/ Goodyear tires (recommendations?)
-- SYMMIC (eBay!?) Clear headlights/parking lights/corner lights
-- LX taillights (I really wanted Cobra/SVO tails!)
-- Stripped interior
-- Recarro seats (what was Ford thinking with the stock seats???)
-- Simpson racing harness
-- K&N stock filter replacement

Once I get all the aftermarket stuff on the car, I'll post pictures for your enjoyment. I should have access to a laptop/internet connection throughout the race so I'll *try* to post daily updates w/ pictures. I'll also try to post pics of my journey from NY to NL...

To show my support of the internet community: If the folks who run StangNet.com would like to contribute a sticker to the car, contact me at: [email protected]

Thanks,
Todd Faulls
