I have a 3.8L electric fan on my hatch. I'm planning on fixing the A/C soon and want to setup the low speed to come on when I turn the A/C on. Can the low speed and high speed be energized at the same time?

Thanks,
L.D.

What I mean is. I start the car and turn on the A/C before the car is warmed up. Then a few minutes later the coolant temp hits 180 degrees and the high speed (on the fan) engages. Is this gonna cause any problems?

it can be done by shadetree wiring it, but it would be easiest to use a controller that is made for that purpose. it will incorporate turning on the high speed with the a/c, which is good, as well as allowing low speed operation when the motor is cooler (or no a/c).
the controller Michael Yount uses would work real nice too.

good luck.

just get a resitor nod and huck it up so the high would be on, so what u turn the nob down theres less volts going to the fan making it spin slower or u turn it up and it spins faster, or huck it to a switch where it just turns on to high and all u have to do is hit the switch to turn it on. get what im saying here?
