Taurus fan depth? Water pump rotation direction?

looking at your set up it doesn't look like there is much of the belt touching the water pump pulley. Could there be a issue with it slipping?

I guess it is possible the pump is slipping, but I have noticed it, and I haven't heard any abnormal noises from that area. I'll check it more carefully this weekend when I'm able to work on the car again.
