Pic of Taurus fan mystery part

OK, so what does this part do? It was wired inline with the harness going to the taurus fan that I yanked from the junkyard.

It's clearly marked 30A and unplugs like a fuse. But it's a weird place for a fuse, maybe a self resetting breaker? Could this someway help with keeping the fan relays from burning up?

Here's another pic.

It has what look to be large capacitors(where the wires connect) or something? Perhaps to help with relay contact arcing?

I agree, it does look like a circuit breaker.

But then what's the point of the large cylinder shaped thingys then? Definately something going on there... the removable "breaker" isn't much larger than a regular automotive fuse. The housing seems much too large to only act as a holder. At least 3x larger than necessary.
