Well got back from H&R block and I am getting a pretty decent tax return. I am going to have about $1000 to put into the stang and I am deciding on what to do with it. I need 2 tires, rotors and pads, but I already accounted $500 for all that.

This is what I am thinking of: (BTW my suspension needs work so thats why I am focusing on that )

Bullitt Suspension package M-5400-A(springs, shocks, struts, swaybar) $400
Prothane Total Bushing Kit and offset Rack bushings $180
Subframes connectors: $120
Allignment after install: $100
------
Subtotal: $800

Possilbe ideas:
Tri-Axe Shifter: $170
Caster/Camber plates: $200 (Are they needed for such a small drop 1"?)
Strut Tower Brace: $150
---
Throttlebody and Plenum: $350
OR
SCT XCalibrator 2 Tuner $380 (Am I modded enough benefit from a tuner )

Idea's and suggestions welcomed.

OK, so after tires and brakes, I would do Bullit Suspension and look for some boxed lower control arms with poly bushings. Then if anything left over next would be subframes. And remember weld in full length.

So I did some more reading, and took some advice and I am going to add some fluid changes and other preventative maintence.

Fuel Filter, Tranny Fluid and Rear end Fuild is what I am thinking.

Coolant is Gold and was just done 15K ago. Brakes will be flushed when I do my pads and rotors.

Anything else?

I like the subframe connectors personally. I went with the Steeda tubular ones with the cross braces and they pretty much rock. Made a huge difference in the way the car handles I think.

If you are getting suspension, either go with H&R Race/Bilstein (or better), otherwise don't bother.

I think X pipe and gears would be more worth it.

Gears= $140
Install= $200+
X Pipe= $250+
Tune= $400ish

pretty close to 1000 and you'll notice a difference

If I was going to do some suspension modding I dont know that I would go with the Bullitt suspension package, and here is why. I used to own a Bullitt before the current mustang I have and to be totally honest I dont think the suspension was that much better than the stock GT. It was definately stiffer, and the car felt more solid, but you felt every bump in the road, and if you ever hit any potholes the suspension felt like it was bottoming out. I hit a pothole one time, and it wasnt that bad of one, the suspension felt like it had bottomed out and I thought I might have snapped something it was so loud. If I were in your position I would go with some full length sub frame connectors like previously recomened above and continue to look at other suspension set ups, I cant recomend any as I dont have any personal experiance...
