So what do you guy's think of the early mid 90's S/C t-birds? Are they worth a crap? I heard the plugs were a bitch to change? Any other things bad about them? peace
Not my cup of tea, they're heaver than the Fox birds, and the 3.8's are still too notorious for blowing head gaskets for my liking. Couldn't tell you about the spark plugs though.
Very nice cars, but nearly everyone I know that had a 3.8 had the head gaskets blow. My Windstar blew them twice. It's a nice engine and probably could make some power, but I will never have another one.
they are prity relyable. in the way that you can rely on it to blow a headgasket around 70 to 100 thousand miles.
I had a guy try to give me one onc
e with a cracked head and a blown head gasket.
It's not an off the line rocket, with stock gearing it's a highway cruiser. I bought the 90 SC which my dad has now in '93 and it will dust most cars on the road when you get up to speed. As far as gas mileage: Colorado to Texas on one tank. They're great cars!
