Hi everybody, I got my first stang (V6 Auto, Candy apple Convertible) I a'm comming from the miata word, but want a car who can serve me well and give me some space "Miata Suck for that". I choose the stang, very different car deserving différent need ! but still convertible.

I read on some post saying about a "tune" can make the auto transmission perfom better. I a'm not searching for more HP, or make someting to redicaly decrease millage performance , but i find the transmision is a bit on the slow side to react .... A more sporty shifting spririts could be very appreciated.

Anyway... teach me pls.

A tune, is a kind of sofware upgrade ?
Can I do it myself, do i need a shop ?
Wat is the cost of it ?
Do I need to have other mod, Can I make a tune on a stock car and expect result ?
What happen with the Garantie ?
Do I miss someting ?

* Sorry for my english... I'm born with the french "Tune" version

Tank you in advance !!

Yeah, you can get a tune that will make your tranny shift better for you. It will also give you some more power and people claim that they also get a little better gas mileage as well.

For the warranty some dealers will not care and others will, it just depends on the dealer. The best thing to do if you have to take your car into the dealer is plug your tuner back in and return the car to its factory settings. That way they will never know.

It's really simple to use, you just plug it into your car and press a couple of buttons and you're set.

Here's a good place to look: 2011 Ford Mustang Chips & Mustang Tuners at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!

Hope this helps. Mustangs are fun cars, I think you will have fun.

A tune will improve your power but if you are concerned with warranty coverage, the manual specifically states any modification of the pcm voids warranty. There is the Moss act but if you are up against Ford's lawyers good luck.
