Tell me it fits!!!

alright right now in my 67 I have a performer intake with a holley on my 289. It clears the stock hood by a little over an inch. If I add a drop base air cleaner will an rpm air gap fit? I have a chance to get one real cheap.

prob. not, it would be real close, but u dont want to go what i went through with a stock hood and clearance issues, i thought mine was clear and there was a gap then when i got on it and the engine flexed it dented my hood........bad news.thank god for cowl hoods now

I am running an air gap on the cougar and a reg chrome aircleaner and it clears the hood.
Just do not put the spacer on it and should be fine.
