Yeah, the pic reaffirmed my assumption that it would look ridiculous.

dont shoot me, but i remember seeing and audi made over on some car show. prolly on TLC or discovery channel, more professional than monster garage, lol. they took it, put the larger engine in it from another audi (s4, i believe) and then painted it 2 tone, red with black top, hood, trunk, and part of the sides, (so like, everything above the 3~ foot mark), and that looked surprisingly good, wonder how that would wor out on a mustang, something similar to this maybe, but a different red.

I think black hoods would look good on my cars... but eh, the rest of the time, if it doesn't actually go down a race track and need a flat black hood to keep the glare from the sun out of the racecar driver's eyes... then I see no point in the black hood on different color cars.

Carbon Fiber would look better. CF doesn't just look black, it kinda shimmers too.

If it was flat black and held down by hood pins on all four corners, it'd be like a Superbee/Roadrunner look. But on an V6 Mustang, probably not a good idea.

It was TLC, and it was an IS300 with the V8 from a GS430 swapped in. They called it the "IS430." I didn't get to catch the ending of that show. I guess the car came out nice.

i liked it =D, they kept a stock look going on purpose, but with a custom look to it as well, if that makes any sense at all. kinda like how everyone should get a mach1 chin spoiler for their 99-04, lol i love the way that it looks and think it looks weird without it, along with the bumper inserts, so many people have them, ford should make it a stock option (and not use cheap vinyl...)
aparently at 3:30 even my rants get off topic of themselves

i assume thats either a joke or your inserts are goind to be steel (considering your car is black) i have 'brushed aluminum' look on mine =D vinyl YAY! i could change it anytime i want because those things are cheap, lol
which reminds me, i still have my silver side stripe vinyl, plan on selling that... =P
