Has anyone ever changed this? How hard is it to get to? I figured with it 40' in the sun I had better fix it before i break the knob.

I can't remember if it's on the back or the front of the blower assembly, but when I changed my heater core, I remember disconnecting it, which was simple. Just pull out your heater control panel and trace the cable down.
I would think it should be pretty straight forward assuming you can get under the dash to remove it from where it clips in. I'm sure somebody here knows if it's on the front or the back. You may want to drop your glovebox down and look through the hole at the blower to see if it's behind that.
