Temp Gauge Help

Hey guys, I found out why my temp gauge wasn't working on my 2001 GT, the previous owner put on a gauge face and took off the temp needle to install it and didn't re-install it correctly. To install it I am going to have to get the car to operating temp then reinstall it. What I need to do is to get the car to operating temp and reinstall the needle in the correct position. My question is what is the exact position of the needle when at proper operating temp? As always your help is appreciated. If you have a better solution on the calibration please let me know. Thanks.

It really doesn't matter where you put it as they are different in every car and don't really show a certain temperature. I put all my gauges at 12:00 so I know where they should be during operation.

When mine is at operating temp, it is smack in the middle. Never seems to move after that either.
