I believe you can simply install a T fitting on the thermostat housing where you currently have one sensor. This way you don't have to drill holes anywhere.

The "T" fitting may cause you to read abnormal temps. I'd tap for the sensor in it's regular place. If you don't have the intake in the car yet you can take it to an auto shop and have them tap it. If not then it isn't too hard to do but you need a 3/8 NPT tap and they are hard to find. I looked all over for one until I gave up and went to get one from a friend who has a shop.
