Okay - I'm pissed!!!!

I finally get my car back together and running, go a check the Pacific Raceways website schedule for Test & Tune and it appears that there are no more days in September....

Is this correct???? :bang: :bang: :bang:

If not, does anyone know the days that they are open for Test & Tune? The 408 is in... I have a base tune on the PMS, and I would love to see what it can do...

Thanks.

It's a short season at PR. Bremerton is open all three days the 14-16 with a CCC race on Saturday. Remember, at Bremerton they start Saturday morning with time trials and begin eliminations about 1 or so. You can test and tune too., usually. See you there!?

I'll be there Saturday as well. I hope my stang holds up. She's making some really rough noises at cold start. Sounds have been progressively getting worse. The one I'm starting to really worry about is the sound of no oil in it at first fire. Used to be rough for like a rotation or two of the engine. But today, it lasted a little longer (a few seconds). Gregg (04Mystic) and I did a compression test this weekend and it proved to be a healthy engine so I'm baffled on what is causing this new engine noise.

Will you be going for all three days? If so, can I meet up with you somewhere for the drive over there, as I have never been.

I am 80% sure that I will go. The only thing standing in my way is that my DR's are three years old and I'm sure hard. So, I have to give some thought to whether or not I want to buy some new ones, for just a couple of runs. Kinda sucks getting this thing done so late in the year.

Let me know and we will see about coordinating.

Thanks.

I am going out on Saturday the 15th to race with the Ford Drag Team. I'd be happy to meet you that morning.

Use some oil detergent 5 mins before your next oil change, might have some sludge built up in the pickup. Check motor mounts? Sticky lifters?

Try Seafoam. Works great!

How do I use either one??

Checked my oil after making this post and realized it was 1.5 qts low....??? After only 1000 miles from the last oil change, would it have burned through that much oil??? I put in the Mobile 1 15,000 mile Extended life synthetic oil thinking that would be best for it at this point in its life. Gonna be pretty expensive if it keeps eating that much oil in so few miles.... :nonono:

Its very easy. I use 2 bottles of Seafoam. 1 in the tank, 1/2 in the crankcase and the other 1/2 in the vacume system. Engine needs to be at operating temp.
With the engine off, pour in the 1st bottle in the tank and the 1/2 bottle in the crankcase. Start the car and allow to idle. Using a strong vacume line, allow the Seafoam to be sucked up by the vacume line without stalling the engine. You'll want to use a line that goes into the intake to work best. Just as you get to the bottom allow the line to suck up as much as it can and make the engine stall out. Allow to sit for 5 mins. Start it up and drive it very hard till the smoke stops pouring out the pipes. Some cars smoke more than others so dont worried.
If you want help let me know. :nice:
