Hey guys Im doing a H/C/I swap on a 93 5.0 with a stock bottom end. I already have the TF TW heads with upgraded valve train and .600 inch lift springs..

I was planning on going with the B-cam but it seems like they make crappy power, what do you guys think about a TF Stage 2 or 3 vs the b cam? Is it too much for the stock bottom end?

Also is the idle on those cams more agressive than the B?

I think you might have piston-to-valve issues with anything bigger then the stg 1 on a stock bottom end with TW heads. I could be wrong though. Stg 2 or 3 would be too big for your combo anyway, in my opinion

I'm with Mike on this one, either one of the cams are too large for you combo, I would look at the TFS Stage 1 for that combo, the Stage II has never really impressed me.

Stage 1: 2000-5500rpm
Stage 2: 2500-6000rpm

I'm not sure if the stage 2 (.542/.563 lift with 1.6 rockers) will clear stock pistons. It may, but you'll have to research it or maybe somebody else knows. Each will have a progressively more aggressive idle and will kill off a little bottom-end torque.

I chose the stage II, but i also have the TFS forged 10:1 pistons. I have the track heat heads, 6.700 TFS pushrods, Stock length eage rods and a steel eagle crank. My engine builder put it together and i have no piston to valve clearance issues
