Im gettin bored and want to get a new bolt-on and I just got a tax return check. I have done most, if not all, of the easy bolt ons available. Just wondering if my daily driver would benefit in any way from that awesome looking trackheat intake. Has anybody dynoed one of these on a mostly stock car to see real power gains or mpg increases? Chime in everybody, is this a do or a don't. And as always thanks :SNSign:.

Its not plastic, and there are top end gains over your plenum setup, but save your cash and buy the new Trick Flow heads that they are releasing about now instead. They look awesome.

i'd spend my money elsewhere at your mod level. the intake won't make much of a difference at this point, especially for the price. go with heads of cams first.

I'm not ready to do cams and heads yet. Thats gonna require too much down time and money for right now. In the future the I would like to get those TFS heads with some cams. But I need something to do in the meantime. The intake is pretty cool but it is expensive. I doubt the intake will get me a 25 hp increase with the marginal mods I already have but what could I expect from the intake at this point?

It'll give you a little more top end. Maybe 10 or 15hp from 5000 rpm upwards. I think I saw the black one for 640 bucks on ebay... a good price.

if the TFS intake is anything like the Bullit, it won't add much to the top end because the intake is not the limiting factor. the Bullit does add a nice chunk of torque down low, but you won't see the top end gains until you can get more air thru the heads.

The TF intake will lose torque and hp on your car, it's not worth it unless it's fully built N/A or has a power adder. A ported head/ Cushman stg 2/ lt car lost power until after 6k rpm. You should wait for the BBK manifold or go with a bullitt

The TFS is in no way like the bullit intake. The bullit is garbage. I could tell a huge difference after I installed the TFS intake when my car was still NA. I never went to the dyno because dynoing a na 2v is pointless. I raced a buddy who had the same mods as me except the intake and I pulled 1.5 cars on him.
