Ohio St may stay undefeated. They are used to the pressure of being the hunted. No way Boston College gets by Virginia Tech though. VT has something to prove and the #2 team in the country at home is just what they want.

I agree no way BC is going to win in blacksburg.

But I totally disagree with you both saying that if Ohio State goes undefeated they dont deserve a trip the BCS title game. While I certainly agree their scheudle has been extremely easy thus far, they play some descent teams the rest of the way.

BTW LSU or Florida fans if you wanted to go to the BCS title game dont lose. The hard schedule is a double edge sword. You certainly have more of a chance to lose, but IF you do win out you would be the #1 team without a question.

while i agree with the double edged sword statement, i almost would rather have the sword ohio state has. be a team that gets ranked high because of your name, not your schedule, then just make it through a fairly easy schedule, while all other teams that are capable of more than likely beating you are beating each other, then make it to the title game cause you're undefeated.

i just find it's a lot easier to win with media love and an easy schedule than to just win out in a hard schedule, even if the hard schedule will put you up higher, the easy one is flat out easier.... :dunno:

Generally Ohio States schedule is not as easy as it is this year. They played Texas the last two years and from what I understand signed a contract to play USC twice in the near future.

I mean last year they played 3 teams that were ranked #2 in the nation when they played them. Id say thats pretty tough.

But I think some underestimate the strength of the Big 10, I am not about to say its as tough as the SEC or Pac 10, but its not a cake walk. Penn State was a last second TD by UM from making the 05 BCS title game. Wisconsin and Penn State both beat SEC teams in bowl games last year. Michigan while not a top 10 team is better than they showed against App State and Oregon.

They still have to beat Michigan State, Wisconsin, and Illinois at home. They have Penn State and UM on the road. Thats not exactly an easy 5 games imo.

I wouldnt necessarily rank OSU #1 right now, but if they win out I dont see any reason why they dont deserve a shot at the BCS title game.

yeah, i dont think OSU is going to get out undefeated, so i'm not worried that i'll have to say "they dont deserve to be in the bcs game" but i also think that their remaining schedule is not too bad. i mean, this year, the big ten really is pretty dang bad, and the SEC is having a year with a LOT of good teams. last year, i still think OSU was overrated, even beating the two #2's. texas proved to be not bad, but definitely not the powerhouse team they were projected to be at the start. then michigan? they were number 2 when they lost, sure, but number's 1 and 2 (osu and mich) both got blown to bits in the bcs champ game. kinda showed that they were 1 and 2 because of the ease of schedule, not because of the skill of the team.

if OSU wins out, and is up against the SEC champ (whoever it is, as long as they dont lose 2 also) i'd be fine with it. but if it's OSU vs another team, and the SEC champ hasnt lost again (like if lsu runs the table from here), then i'd be pissed that osu was in it

Why? All you are doing is showing your SEC biased, so no other 1 loss team could beat any 1 loss SEC team. That is simply BS. Id take a 1 loss Cal, Oregon, Oklahoma over any 1 loss SEC team except LSU.

It all boils down to if you want to be #1 dont lose, and if the voters and computer think you are worthy you will be there.

There have been other times when a team who was unbeaten and who many though was the best team was left out, it happends deal with it.

i'm simply stating my opinion, and it's not going to change based on what you say. if osu gets in over the 1 loss sec champ, it's bs, and cal oregan and OK didnt play enough games worthy to be ahead of one of them IMO

but this season, nothing is going as planned, so it wont surprise me

good gosh.... what another week! so far, 6 upsets, (USF, UK, USCe, cal, tennessee, cincinnati), and at the moment virginia and michigan are working on the upset, haha!

i still have no clue wtf is going on this year, no weekend is set, no team is set, nothing is certain! how nuts!

i think this year will be UF (if we win out) vs the winner of this LSU/AU game for the sec champ game. i'm just hoping UF makes it to that far!

I don't think VT is going to win this one. I just have this gut feeling. It just seems that Beamer is going to go with Taylor, even though we have to go to the air to beat BC. This combined with the fact that if we do start Glennon, we will lose because we won't be able to stop the BC D-Line.

Either way we are screwed on both ends.

i definitely can see VT beating BC. that wouldnt bee too much of a stretch. BC is a joke, and VT isn't too bad. definitely can happen.

but OSU? i'm not sure they play anyone hard enough to beat them. they've got it made. the hardest they have coming is michigan, who we all know their previous game play this year (app state, oregon), and, atm, they're tied with ron zook's team.... that just shows you how "hard" OSU's schedule is.....

oh well, this year is nuts, and will hopefully make those idiots in charge of college football realize how stupid the BCS is, and make them start up a playoff system....

wish that would actually happen :(
