I forgot about that...Michigan...

There are rumors Michigan may come after Miles of LSU. That is his alma mater but the LSU has a huge buyout if a certain school comes calling and he leaves...guess which one.

We have Middle Tenn St. next. Let's see them try to roll up points against LSU the way they did Louisville.

It took three overtimes to beat Fresno St. yet somehow we're still ranked 25 AP, 18 CP and 21 BCS.

Whoop?

No Lloyd needs to be fired, the defense needs to be fired. Henne is doing so-so but Hart is still doing well for the most part.

Michigan for the 0-12 season

But I do find it funny that the SEC is struggling in alot of their games. The Big 10 is definatly down this year and the SEC may not be all it was cracked up to be, well other than LSU.

Thats about the same as saying a Supercharged mustang owned a 2.0L focus.

Overall Conference Record
CONF.........W/L.........PCT
Big East --14 - 2 ---- (87)
Big 12 ---- 18 - 6 ---- (75)
Big 10----- 18 - 4 ---- (81)
ACC ------ 13 - 11 ----(54)
SEC ------- 17 - 6 -----(73
Pac 10 ----14 - 4 ------(78)

So after two weeks the Big East and Pac 10 are looking better than most thought and the ACC sucks donkey balls.

Well the crap talkers are back at it. VT is over-rated and not giving LSU it's props for handing the #9 team in the country their asses. Funny thing is we regularly make teams look silly...some call it playing over-rated teams. I call it domination...

The Tigers’ 17-10 victory over Georgia in 2003 seemed like a big win, but we soon found out LSU was merely lucky. Cadillac Williams and Auburn were going to roll over LSU, but after the purple-and-gold Tigers won 31-7, we learned Auburn was overrated. After losing 17-14 to LSU a month later, Ole Miss was found to be overrated too. LSU pounded Georgia 34-13 in the SEC Championship Game, making it 2-for-2 against the Bulldogs, but that merely put the Tigers into the Really Big Game.

Against Oklahoma, a team described most of the season as the best team in college football history, LSU’s 21-14 victory for the BCS national championship wasn’t so much a big game as a backdrop for controversy. To counter the perception that computers put Oklahoma into the title game rather than eventual AP champion USC, the BCS formula changed to give more weight to humans, to poll voters. You know, the ones who decide what’s a big game and what isn’t.

Fast-forward to Miles’ first season at LSU. His Tigers were “lucky” to beat Auburn. LSU later won at Alabama, winning in overtime against a Crimson Tide team that entered the game 10-0, ranked No. 4 and in the national championship conversation. Was that a big win? No, because Alabama lost its next game to Auburn. That proved, of course, the Tide had been overrated. Never mind that LSU let all the air out of Alabama’s season a week earlier.

LSU played a No. 9-ranked Miami team in the Peach Bowl and won 40-3. Big win? Nice win, but let’s face it: the Hurricanes quit, and they and coach Larry Coker were obviously on the downslide already, right?

Last season LSU lost to the national champion and the only team to defeat the national champion. You know the circumstances, but we’ll tell you later the real reason those were “godawful ugly losses.” LSU later won at No. 8 Tennessee with a clutch comeback. The Tigers won at No. 5 Arkansas, beating a team led by the Heisman Trophy runner-up. Believed to be the first college football team to play all of its road games against top-10 teams, LSU went 2-2 against those teams. Just one problem. Can you guess? The two teams LSU beat, Tennessee and Arkansas, didn’t finish in the top 10. Obviously, they were overrated.

Memo to the college football world: LSU at its best this decade makes everybody look overrated. The Tigers ended the Heisman candidacies of Georgia’s David Greene and Ole Miss’ Eli Manning in 2003. They smothered Heisman winner Jason White of Oklahoma.

None of them looked as good as advertised against LSU. There must be a reason. LSU beat Arizona 45-3 last season, and the victory was dismissed as more evidence of a “soft” LSU nonconference. There appeared to be no significant adjustment of perceptions when Arizona later beat No. 8 Cal and No. 25 Washington State.
Clearly, Cal and Washington State had been overrated. There is no other explanation.
Or is there?

Both games this season has seen the starting opposing QB pulled for the second stringer. Against VT we had the whole 2nd offense on the field from the 3rd qtr on and STILL scored against that vaunted defense. So cheer up those of you who happen to have the misfortune of being on LSU's schedule this season. You are not as bad as the Tigers make you look like you are. Or are you?...

LSU has been a good team this decade absolutely but come on. I understand youre an LSU fan, but seriously. I mean there are a hanfuly of programs over the past 10 years that at their best are the best team in the country. You are making it out to seem that LSU is the Tiger Woods of college football. They are a great program but certainly not the best year in and year out of the past 10 years.

Lets take a trip back to the past 10 championships. I see LSU splitting a title once. Like it or not its a split title, you can argue however long you want, but both USC and LSU have a trophy that year. That is not domination.

1997 - Michigan and Nebraska
1998 - Tennessee
1999 - Florida State
2000 - Oklahoma
2001 - Miami
2002 - Ohio State
2003 - LSU and USC
2004 - USC
2005 - Texas
2006 - Florida

Not only that bu the last LSU title was 1958.

Dear Lord. Please help the swamplanders to kill Tennessee's team and any fans that may travel with them. Amen.
