The 2007 Official College Football Thread

i hope tebow hops onto the heisman list tomorrow.... i mean, he threw a pass while falling, and was horizontal.... he threw multiple bomb passes, and his pass+rush yardage alone was higher than the entire UT teams.... what an amazing quarterback

I thought they showed the score wrong for Auburn and Miss St. I guess Tuberville has a yard full of for sale signs again. :D

What's up with Texas and who the F is UCF? :rlaugh:

Looks like a game of the year showdown is shaping up between Florida and LSU. LSU completely destroyed Middle Tenn 44-0 Held them to 90 total yards on 53 plays....the same team that hung with Louisiville with 43 points. And we did it all without our #1 QB and receiver.

I agree completely, LSU and FLORIDA looks like the 2 best teams in America right now. I watched USC but they just don't look physical to me, but what do i know?

oh and i r tryin to work on my spelling and punctuation is what i wrote correct?

UK vs LSU looks promising now...... I may be going to that game with my brother in law

UK scared me from day one. It is sandwiched between Auburn and Florida and it's on the road. If there is a loss this season I'm thinking that would be it. If we beat UK then we lose to Florida. Those two games are going to be tough. The only thing going is we are a good road team.

I see ND stud QB had a nice night. Betcha he's still in bed this morning.

Bummer...

Looks like LSU's #1 receiver will be out for a few weeks. Groin injury during a walk through last Friday...how the hell did tha happen?

Plus our starting QB has a high ankel sprain...tough to heal. He'll be ready for this weekend but I bet that injury lingers for a while.

Wait say what? How is 313 yards rushing against Nebraska and only giving up 31 rushing yards not being physical. I would say that is the epitome of physical.

That win againt Nebraska in Nebraska is every bit as tough as LSU beating Va Tech at home. The 21 points USC gave up in the 4th quarter was with their 3rd string guys against Nebraskas 1st string.

Imo LSU, Florida, Oklahoma, and USC seem to be a cut above everyone else.

Btw go Purdue 3-0. Yeah I know we havent played anyone good but hey still 3-0. :)

the reason i think nebraska is a joke is due to their barely winning by 3 vs WAKE FORREST and then only losing to USC by 18 or whatever. sure, put in the 2nd/3rd/nth string guys, but still, i wasnt that impressed. i'm more scared of LSU than USC, even if we had to play both, LSU seems far better. i think we could take USC, and we stand a chance at taking LSU too..... i just like watching tebow play, he's a beast

Dont worry you wont have to worry about playing both, your future loss to LSU will kick you out of the Championship game.

LSU held #9 VT to under 150 total yards. VT removed their starting QB (which has happened in all 3 games this season). We also held them to 7 points with the 2nd and 3rd string defense in the 4th and that was only after the call was reviewed. We also rolled up 599 yards total offense on a defense that was ranked #1 two years running and returned 9 starters from last season. THAT is how LSU smacking VT is better than USC's win against Nebraska.

not true. first, it's not a given lsu will win (see UF/OSU last year.....)

second.... even if we DO lose to them on the 6th, we could play them again for the sec champ game, and if we win there, could still go to the champ game....

oh, and it's not a given that usc will be in the champ game. though with their cake schedule, it's hard to imagine a way to keep them out

The difference between OSU and LSU is that you are playign LSU at home and LSU is better than OSU was last year.

BTW your retarded if you think USC has a cake schedule. Go look at it, they play 3 top #15 ranked teams on the road. Thats pretty impressive imo. They also play at Notre Dame who normally is a descent team although not this year.

At the beginning of the season I would have said USCw would have an easy time but now that the season is here it looks like the PAC10 is a little better than predicted. The SEC is still a tougher conference but USCw doesn't have a cake walk anymore.

I just hope we can make it through our schedule. Bama is looking good as is Kentucky. Although Auburn and Ole Miss suck they give us a hard time when we play them. I think Florida is going to be the pivot...if we get by them then I think the momentum will carry us the rest of the way. I do hope USCe can make it to the SECCG. I think it would be easier to beat them twice than Florida.

well, i would consider nebraska a joke top 15 team, oregon? yeah, a lil bit tough. cal, i'll give credit, is a good team, that's bout the only real challenge.

even TRYING to say that notre dame is a challenge is a joke in itself....

while it's not as cake as it was at the start of the year, it's definitely easier than lsu or uf's schedule. we both have to play each other (more than likely twice) so it's going to be brutal. whereas usc doesnt have to worry too much

also, florida has 4 road games against top 25 teams, that, imo, are all better than USC's top 15 teams (except cal). we've got lsu (hard as hell), kentucky (they're looking good this year), georgia (always a hard game for us, and they're not too bad this year) and USCe (who is always good, esp against us)..... i'd say usc's got it way easier, imo. but, of course, as always, to each his own
