rofl, osu is a joke (and got proven that today by RON FRICKING ZOOK!?!?!?!)

meatchicken is a joke, as usual.....

looks like oregon, and the SEC are the only teams that prove anything, what a sad day for the BCS. if this doesnt prove we need a playoff, i dont know what does

Oh please the SEC wasnt all that this year either, well other than LSU.

SEC beat up each other more than usual this year.

If LSU doesn't wake up we won't be going anywhere. Only up 20-7 (just scored a 71 yard TD pass) against a weak La Tech team. Playing like crap.

EDIT: QB Flynn just threw his second INT. The first one went for 6 after two plays. Luckily we stopped the second one with a 3 and out.

BS, I know you and gator boy are both SEC homers, but seriously look at the teams. Mississippi State is beating some of the "good" teams.

Did you ever think that the SEC is beating each other up more this year because the conference is down and not because all the teams are OMG amazing.

In any other conference this would be because their conferences are down, but if its the SEC its becasuse they are all good, and should be ranked #1 - #12 in the BCS.

Flynn could throw 10 INTs, you will win dont worry about it

No...I don't believe that. You Hobie? I'll answer for him. NO.

SEC teams were ranked and started beating each other up. You tend to drop no matter who you lose to.

Stopped at 2. Perriloux in now. LSU up 44-7 with 7 left in the 3rd.

thank you CO for answering for me, but i agree, NO!!!!!

we raped up on usc, and UF and LSU are 2 of the best teams in the country. aside from Oregon, no other team can compete, and the small 10 proved us on that one today. it's all about lsu and oregon today.... and, no doubt, lsu has the advantage.... but whatever, we've proven the BCS is a joke, and whatever, it happens as it does, so what.....

Ill give you the Big 10 is way down this year, do I think Ohio State could hang in the SEC, yeah I do. No doubt they got ass rammed by Florida last year, but it was the perfect storm. OSU played its worst game all year after a 2 month layoff, Florida played its best game all year. Florida kept hearing how they were going to get killed and just got amped up for the game and OSU heard how good they were and didnt. Would Florida win in a re-match probably but I doubt it would be 41-14. But dont blame the big 10 being down as the rest of the teams in other conferences couldnt hang with the supposed big boys. Imo there are quite a few teams that would do just fine in the SEC.

But back to the topic at hand, if UF was one of the best teams in the country they wouldnt have lost three times.

You guys can think whatever you want, but it really doesnt matter at this point. The final bowl results will tell the story.

The only thing we know at this point is that..........

A - Tennesee has the inside track to win its half of the SEC and they got bitch slapped by Cal who is probably the 3rd or 4th best team in the Pac 10.

B - Auburn who is currently 2nd in the SEC west and supposedly a "quality" SEC team got beat at home by USF who at this point is in a three way tie for second to last in the Big East.

C - Alabama another SEC elite lost to an average at best Florida State who is currently 5th in the ACC atlantic divison and 7th overall in the ACC.

D - Mississippi State got an absolute ass ramming from West Virgina, ya know one of those cup cake Big East teams. Boy thats 0-2 against the big easy that I have seen.

E - Mississippi lost to Missouri, yeah Ole miss sucks but they are an SEC team so they should be in the top 15 automatically right????

Go find me 1 SEC win other than LSU over Va Tech, where the SEC team played and beat a good team from another conference. I guess Georgia vs Oklahoma State is the best ya got.

I will say it again, other than LSU the SEC is OVER-RATED.

yeah, but it's a lot harder to win 6 games in the sec than in the big 10. also, all those stats you pointed out, yeah, they happen, just like UF's crazy losses happened. i'll give you that UGA handed us our ass, but LSU and AU were both close close games that we lost by a margin of a hair. and IMO tenn does not have the easiest ride to the sec champ game, UGA does.

the main thing this does is just show how stupid the bcs is, and that a playoff is so hugely needed. if teams can be number one having played nobody, just to get shown up later on (OSU last year and this year), then something is pretty dang wrong.

and, yes, i'll still say that UF is one of the best teams in the country. two of our losses were so close, they were almost wins, and that's just how college football goes. any team can lose any game any day, you never know. some teams just have it easier to avoid that with those cake schedules.

That the Big 10 is whack. Seriously, SEC is a good conference and the VT win for LSU was a joke. We are not a good team, we just get lucky when we play at home (except BC which we got killed on).

A loss is a loss, by 1 or by 50. Doesnt matter if its by a hair, your team ****ed it up oh well. If they are a top team they will beat the good teams ranked highly, they didnt. /story.

If Tennesee wins out they win their divison, Id say thats the inside track to the SEC title game. They are the ones who control their own destiny.

I agree we need a playoff, but Boise State and Utah who both played an easy schedule proved they belonged in the BCS. Ohio State did win a BCS title already.

2002 - OSU vs #1 Miami - Win
2003 - OSU vs #10 Kansas State - Win
2004 - OSU vs Oklahoma State - Win
2005 - OSU vs #9 Notre Dame - Win
2006 - OSU vs #2 Florida - Loss

2002 - UF vs #11 Michigan - Loss
2003 - UF vs #12 Iowa - Loss
2004 - UF vs #11 Miami - Loss
2005 - UF vs Iowa - Win
2006 - UF vs #1 OSU - Win

Id say if anything OSU proved they belong more than Florida in the short BCS history.

Of course you think Florida is still a top team, you are a fan of them.

Will you give it up on the OSU cake schedule BS. Its not their fault the Big 10 is down. They play who is on their schedule it just happends that this year for the first time in a while they have a crappy non conference (like most SEC teams do all the time). The only difference is the big 10 is down.

This was the one year that was supposed to be a rebuilding year between them playing Texas who was a top 5 team both years and next year starting a two year with USC also a year in year out top 10 team and 2 time national champion in the past 5 years or so.

When was the last time Florida played a top 5 team out of conference, not including last years bowl game. I dont see Florida running to play West Virginia, Ohio State, Michigan, USC, Cal, Oregon, Oklahoma, Texas, etc. They play ****ty Florida State.

That point is moot because you don't always luck out and play a team at it's peak year. LSU scheduled Arizona, Arizona St, Fresno St, Oregon St and Virginia Tech in the last few seasons but when they were scheduled they were pretty good. Not so much when they played except VT. So scheduling quality opponents is hit or miss.

Florida will always play Florida St since it is an in-state rival. Not their fault they have been crappy the last few years.
