Ford has released the Mustang configurator for the 2015 Mustangs. Link below:

http://bp3.ford.com/2015-Ford-Mustang

After spending my morning here, I firmly believe I made the right call in getting a 2013 GT, but to each his own.

Happy Friday all and enjoy!

There are, GT only has one performance package and Ecoboost has its own performance package.

EcoBoost Premium with performance package, 6 speed manual, navigation, and security system would run me about 32k. Question is, would it be worth the 32k, or should i just get a base GT for that much?

I was set on getting the ecoboost performance package, but 30k seems a bit high...

IIRC, the 2011-2014 V6 did 0-60 in 5.6 seconds (5.4 with the Performance Package) The Ecoboost would have to BEAT those numbers in order to be worth the 30k. id be satisfied with 5.1 seconds 0-60 and a low 13 quarter mile time.

I don't think those numbers will be too hard to beat with the new platform. I'm curious to see how fast the aftermarket jumps all over the ecoboost and we get to see how potent that little motor is.

I also find it curious that all of the options aren't listed on the configurator. For example, I had no problem ordering my automatic GT premium with 3.55 gears at the dealer but they don't list it as an option on the configurator? Interesting...

Isn't the Focus ST motor a 2 liter? so could it be safe to say the EcoBoost is a bored out version of the Focus ST motor?

That could possibly be because it's a dealer installed option?

Dealers LOVE installing chit on your car. They get parts for cost and paid for their labor time.

350$ option, there is no way they can swap the gears in an IRS for that kind of money.
They found it in the computer system and it let us order it that way, it just doesn't show up on the guide.

Does anyone know if Ford is gonna allow customers to use X-plan this early? Heard some rumors that Ford wont allow it until the next model year (heard that Ford didnt allow it for the S197 mustangs till the 06 model year).

It all depends on who you ask about this. According to my dealer the Xplan pricing won't be happening at all for the 2015. From what I've been reading on another forum some people are claiming that their dealer told them they will be offering Xplan pricing. So to answer your question, it's a crap shoot at best as of right now.
