I knew you were a cop, I still think you are ok in spite of it

Now you are saying that you sold the Stang cause you didnt want to pay for its gas? And its better for the tax payers of Oahu to pay for it instead while they combat already inflated prices on everything else there?

JK, I would take advantage of it too. I just woulda kept the Stang as well for a weekend toy
Hey, is the strip still closed there? And how is the new super ferry working out?

I remeber you telling me before that you were a peace officer cause I almost blurted out that I lived in Waiawa for a bit.....

Haha, I didn't know you knew lol.

But no, I sold the Stang since we were taking the 335 out whenever we'd go out as a family. I'm paying for that gas, and not the gas in the G now. It's hard to explain, but I will never end up buying extra gas for the G unless I'm on vacation.

The strip's been closed for some time now. They keep trying to rally the "troops" to re-open it, but it always falls apart. The superferry goes to Maui, where there is an operational track, so my friend Henry (he's a service advisor at the dealership here, and is a well known mustang wrencher in his spare time) and Allen (the new buyer) take their cars there for the weekend.

And blk, I got your PM and I'll send you some info later.

Yeah, I am from Maui and went to Puunene all the time Robert is out there all the time in his Fox and my other friend Irene runs her WS6 there and seems to win every year
I had really gotten into SCCA there before I left. I used to race ther with Maui's D.A.G., Brent.
I miss that little island

Anyway, get a Cobra next time and never sell it

Nice rides you got there, I think the G35 Sedan is one of the nicer Sedans out right now.

I agree. Out of all the cars I was eligible to use (and would even consider driving), it was either the G, Charger, or 300 that were rear wheel drive.

2 of my co-worker have the Chargers, and they've had a lot of problems with them. Both had warped brake rotors (all 4), and had to replace them at their own expense (I believe in under 5K miles) which I thought was total BS. Also, one had problems with his transmission seals leaking, which although was covered under warranty is totally inexcusable. The car does have a good motor (haven't heard many complaints about breakage yet), but it simply weighs too much. 2008 r/t's curb weight is listed at 4169, and with the 08 listed at 340HP and the 09 listed at 368HP, they make either 35/63 more HP than the G respectively (compared to the G's 3497curb weight). I'm sure I could have gotten the Charger or the 300 a few thousand cheaper than the G, but to me it wasn't worth the problems I may have in the future. On top of that, they won't offer an extended warranty if they know the vehicle would be used for police work.

The G sport model also comes with a VSLD, so that was a plus for me. I was also able to purchase the 7/100k warranty, so that was another plus. Overall, I'm positive the car will last me far longer than the charger/300 would.
