Oh man, you guys are going to love this story.

So, like I said, the guy backed out on my car because he lost his job. So, I relist the car on Ebay. Well, I must have had poor timing before because I got a ton of actual people who wanted the car. After settling on a pretty sweet price, the guy who won, is in Texas. Within 8 hours of opening the auction, I have a faxed copy of the cashiers check. The guy and his fiance get a same day flight up to Portland!

So, Last night, I meet them at the airport in Uncle Kenneth. We drive the car and he falls in love/poops his pants.

We do the paperwork and the happy couple drives off for Texas. "How do you get to I-84E" So, I happily give him directions, amazed that this guy is really going to drive it down to Texas on the same day he flew in!

So that car is gone....but the story gets better.

I get a call today around noon from his Father-in-law. "We have bad news" he said. I immedietly freak out thinking something terrible happened. He informs me that they were rear ended in Salt Lake. The driver behind them had the cruise control on and just plowed into the back of the cobra. The impact threw the car into a spin and it went over the medain, smashing the front end all up. They think that it may be totaled, but the couple was recently discharged from the hospital.

Anyway, thought you all would get a kick out of the story. He said that he adores the car and plans on shipping the wrecked car to Texas so they can rebuild it. Kind of like the bionic man.

When are you all going to bucks so I can show you my new kicks?

Yes it is going to really suck when I cash his check on Monday... Oh wait, Monday is a holiday, I guess on Tuesday.

They are lucky to be alive. They are being very cool about it. They are contacting their insurance, so hopefully it all works out for them.

sucks for them. can you imagine... you're lov'n a nice cruise from Washington to Texas in your new SWEET ride and half way home you get slamed into and totaled. didn't even get to enjoy the car for more than 24 hrs. :bang:

at least you got the check. :spot:

Nothing special for the new whip. Something more practical.
