So last night I was layin in bed not bein able to fall asleep, when I hear tires squealing outside my window. I jump out of bed and run to the window and see a dark blue 96-98 GT hit a parked car outside my window in the parking lot at about 45 mph. The car he hit moved about 8 feet sideways and 6 feet forward up over the curb onto the grass outside my window. Then, the guy backs up and leaves! He went down into another part of the complex. I got my phone and called the police, cuz that's just plain f'ed up. So a few minutes later me and about 5 other people from my building are standing outside by the car that had been hit, 3 of which also saw it happen. Then the guy in the stang drives right by us! We got his plate number at this time. Then the police get there, we are all giving statements about what happened and giving the plate number, when the dumbass in the GT drives right by on the main road! So we all yell "that was him!" so the cop gets in his car and chases after him but by the time he got out of the lot, it was too late, so he came back. The guy in the stang was obviously drunk. Apparently what happened is he came into out lot at about 50mph, then hit a curb on a turn in the lot (our lot has a windy chicane-lookin turn at the entrance), then went sideways for about 50 feet at like 40-45 mph, then slammed into the toyota outside. He woulda prob gotten away with it if we hadn"t seen it and called the cops. I really hated to get another stanger in trouble, but people have done things to my car and I wished someone had seen who it was, so I was gonna do the toyota's owner a favor and do the right thing. Sad part is, it was a nice stang. Dark blue, lowered, bullitt rims, chin spoiler...

HERE is the amazing part...

The spot where the toyota got pushed into is where I usually park my cobra. I decided to move it earlier in the night just so less drunk people would have the chance to walk by and mess with it. If I hadn"t moved my car, the whole side of it would have been demolished. I was debating earlier about if it was worth moving it or not... WHEW!

That is insane man. Thank God you moved your car. I've always known WV to be a nice state and I hear about these vandalizm and drunk driving stories from you. What school do you go to? Good job catching the guy though cause you're right, thats f-ed up.

Glad to hear we didn't lose a Cobra. That's awsome you didn't just say forget it and not move it. Someone up there's been looking out for SVT's lately.

you're right...there isn't much to do in WV, however I'm not in WV right now. I am in Blacksburg, VA at Virginia Tech, hence the "drunk people" walking by, as they do about 4-5 nights a week. That's the drawback to living in a drinking town.

I guess maybe I should add Blacksburg, Va to my location as well

It's a good thing I did move it, or I woulda probably beat the drunk ass within an inch of his life for hitting my car.

one more reason why I'm leaving my mustang at my parents house when I go off to a 4 year university... I'll find a beater that I wont care what happens to it. Too many dumbass in college, and in a big city there are even more.

Damn, so this guy hit the curb at 50 mph and plowed into a parked truck at 40 mph...? And still could drive the Mustang around?

And to think, so many people ask Ford why they can't build a reliable, durable car.

Nice sixth sense in moving your Cobra.

It was a toyota camry, but yea. He hit the back bumper of it, and it busted his headlight and corner light out, and had his bumper/fender all f'ed up. It was driveable, but in bad shape from how it looked. I'm sure his steering and front wheel were in bad shape from hitting the curb too

If you know where Terrace View Apartments are, that's where I live. Where does your cousin live? Who knows, maybe we ended up at the same party and didn't know it lol.
