These heads are considered Trick Flow's patented Twisted Wedge design. They will have either a 38 CC Combustion Chamber or 44 CC Combustion Chamber. The flow numbers have been posted upto .650 lift and can easily use a cam with .600 lift. For those that don't know, Trick Flows Twisted Wedge Small Block Ford heads are considered to be the top dog. High expectations should be expected from these heads.

$2000+. People say worth it if with cams/LT's?and these heads you make the 370rwhp range of blower. I'll believe it when i see it outside of magazines and in people's cars. My heads flow 228-230cfm/198-201cfm and I'm not sure on my power yet. But it aint no 320+

You figure a full bolt-on GT with Stage 1 cams is going to dyno 290RWHP. So that means roughly these heads should add 80RWHP. Man, that seems like alot. I know it's apples to oranges, but my aftermarket heads for my 5.0 did'nt give me that kind of mega-gain. If it's true, the 2V's will be the big bullies on the block.

its not all about the flow of the head, the magic happens in the combustion chamber.

+1

There are many different head designs out there. Port flow alone doesnt make it a good performer. The shape and design of the chamber plays a major role in the actual combustion itself. The hemi heads for example were very good at making power, they just suck at emissions.

you guys should expect 300rwhp from stock cams and all bolt-ons/tune. and with an aftermarket intake manidold there's no reason 310ish rwhp. once you start adding big cams the power starts to build.

I heard they dont flow much more then ported pi heads. You could get some really nice pi heads for 2 grand. Can you port the trick flows?

From what I remember reading, they flow with or outflow most/some ported PI's with plenty of room to port the Trickflow's.

guys, it isnt just flow numbers. you port a pi to get 215ish REALcfm, and compare the 245ish TFS, and count velocity into the picture and you get heads that are better than 3v.

look, even the best ported pi's NEVER get the same power as stock 3v. a bolt on 05+ gets over 305rwhp. thats without cams. with cams they get over 345rwhp. PI HEADS CANNOT reach that. thats with stage iv cc cams. there are much larger crane cams that take 3v higher.

the tfs heads will kill those numbers with a good intake manifold and cams.

not to mention the TFS heads allow for more lift.

+100. Dont forget those awsome combustion champers on the TFS heads. They look better then any welded/worked chamber I've ever seen on a ported pi head.
