In my opinion fiberglass bonded to metal in an area with quite a bit of heat is asking for seperation problems. I have seen guys with metal frame/fiberglass skin hood have issues with the fiberglass delaminating from the metal frame.
The scoop would look great if it was on a 64 Thunderbolt, which is were the teardrop hood came from. Of course it had a purpose to clear the monster high rise intake and carb set up.
only thing i can think of for EVER putting that on your hood is clearance for a carb... but he clearly doesnt have a carb, and its probably not even cut out
Its not much of a hoodscoop being that there is no opening for air to come in LMAO..
That is a horrible horrible "Scoop" Looks like a wannabe teardrop scoop
"The car has been partially stripped down and some items removed to make it a racer of some sorts.".. Uhh.. Yeah... Yeah lets take the The Heater core, heater and a/c control panel, a/c unit, radio, and other misc items out and make the hood heavier by adding that monstrocity on!
I bet you could take a butter knife and peel that whole mountain of BONDO off the stock hood, and then give it to a short person as a decorative step stool.
