Do I need to get a spring compressor or can I do without one? Thanks.

No compressor needed front or rear.

For the front just unbolt the strut from the spindle, not from under the hood.

The back is easy, the front isnt hard there is just more stuff to move. Make sure when you remove your calipers you hang them out of the way... do not let them hang by the brake line!!!

So the front I need to remove the strut bolt and the tierod end and ease the control arm down to let the spring tension off easy.

yea, but dont forget to secure the spring to the car somehow with rope or wire.

also put a jack under the control arm and keep a little pressure on it untill your ready to lower it down and remove the spring. youll probably need a pry bar to get the stock ones out
