The Great Becoming - TT351

She might be running by Saturday!

Intake fitted and noticed Valve Cover won't clear... so they are going to be swapped...

Cermic Coated Shorties...

Tight fit!

Looking TUFF!!!

Can't wait to get some numbers down... The motor had about 200 miles on it before install so break in will be soft and then BA-BAM boost her up! Dyno soon!!!!!

I've never understood the allure of remote mounts...especially when it's a detriment to performance and a bi#@h to package. There is more than enough room in the stock engine compartment to fit the turbo's in. Really, the only reason other manufacturers sell them is because there is simply no room in those particular vehicles.

I'm not trying to rip on you or your setup...as in the end, it's your setup. :nice:

As far as numbers go, you would have to give us a bit more detail on your setup.

Interesting... Give us a little more info on your setup. What size are the turbos? I would venture to say you'll see over 500 with some boost if everything works well. It's very easy to make 500 with a h/c/i 302 with a small single or twin setup on low boost, so I would expect it to make big numbers on a h/c/i 351. Just not sure about what kind of power a remote setup will make. It will be interesting to see.

+1...but we need to know your h/c/i combo as well as how much boost your running to make a guestimate.

Heh heh heh heh!!!!

That looks like a very clean hot/cold side piping. Who did it? Looks like it's going to be a beast.

Right... Let it be known that the Turbo install and tuning is being done by the team at Mongillo Motors in New Haven, CT. Kudos go to them for this clean and mean work!:nice:

They have videos of their other projects at :

Hey, all the concern about remote mounts... don't feel that really. Obviously the numbers will tell the tale for all of us on that matter. But as long as the PSI is in the system, which is sealed, I should be awwwwwwll good! These T's will be intercooled and alky cooled!!!! Should be NICE'n'Squirrelly.:D:D:D Taking a look at all the remote mount cars in this stable at Mongillo, and their dyno numbers, SOTP and on the sheets you begin to believe very quickly!

Tuff

My buddies running a T76 with a 347 and pushing 640rwhp @10psi on a Mustang Dyno. That's out of a Dart Block 302. You have way more in that car with the 351. Nice work. I'm curious to see your numbers. Mine will be a single T88, turbo won't be on til next year though. Keep us posted. I'd like to see how she does.

Oh well... at 5psi and mild tune the car popped POS hypereutic piston. Even though, YES, the engine was quoted to have 'forged' pistons out of the box. So much for that BS. I can deal though. Some JE's will be going in and forged rods. A cylinder is going to be sleeved as well for good measure. After this the thing should be monster. Forged for SURE and ready for more psi... thinking max 10-12 for safety and hmmm... I don't know from there. The block is being disassembled at a shop in CT (Grieco) by an old 5.0 guy that started back in the day and had an 8 sec 5oh when it was really a challenge!!!! I'll post details later.

BIG #'s after this stage!!!!
