Well I was having some misfire issues with the 96. I was worried the head was cracked but asked around and was told to replace the intake gaskets. Finally was able to get the intake tore off yesterday and as I was cleaning it up pieces started chipping off the one water port. I then noticed that the opposite side was cracked as well. Showed it to my work mechanic and he said it's shot.

Of course I'm broke so I gotta save some money now to fix it. The part that sucks is it's non PI and the damn non PI intake costs more than the PI stuff. I'm pondering selling the TFS intake that was on the 94 to fund a PI swap. Wanted to save that to fund a new intake for the 94 when the time came but I guess that idea is in the toilet

I swear Stangs hate me....and I didn't beat on this one as much lol

I would go for it. Do it now while its torn apart, and you wont have to come up with too much out of pocket after selling the TF intake.

just get the PI intake and the couple things you need to swap it in there. its still cheaper than a NPI one.

Well have been in talks with a guy on Corral from MD about a complete PI swap. My dad found a non PI intake on partstrain (not sure how good they are but the cheapest we have found) for $183. The guy in MD is willing to sell me the complete swap for $300. Depending on what he says when he gets back to me I might go pick it up Saturday morning. Hoping he will send me some pics and give me the year and mileage that the stuff came off of.

$100 more and a 3hr and some drive ain't too bad I guess lol. Me and the gf can make a date of it and spend the day in southern MD.

Thats how I usually do those things too. We drove 5 hours up to Minneapolis to get my new car, and made a weekend out of it. The wifey got to hit up Ikea and the Mall of America, and I got to drive her and my boy around the city in the new car. The hard part was having to get out when we arrived places, cause the car kept giving me a hard on!

Ended up deciding aganist the swap. After looking up all the other parts needed to do it it was another 350 bucks not counting shipping. Wasn't planing on having to spend all that so I'm just gonna order a replacement intake and put it back together
