The new '05 GT - I got to drive one!!!

At our last FD meeting Wednesday night we voted in an18 y/o college kid.....met him for the first time last night when he showed up for a CPR class I was teaching....in his '05 Mustang GT. When I mentioned that I have a '65 he did all the proper fawning, "Awww man, that's my dream car!" type sh**!

Ya I know, Probie was just sucking up to the old geezer........Well this morning when he showed up for the class I told him I'd like to take a closer look at his GT, he handed me his keys and said, "Let's take a ride!"

Bwaa haa haa haa haa haa!

Kid just made some serious brownie points with the ol' BBFCM! We only went for a short hop, down the main road, nice little straight-a-way with some decent curves on either end.......YOWZER! what an awesome ride!

Only problem is, Probie now wants to come over and help me work on "sally"! I told him I'd think about it!

No, but I did tell him he might want to cover the seats before I got in.... thought i might damn near cream my shorts! to keep the BLUE FUZZ off them!

When he complained that the backseat was too small I offered to do an even trade for the Caddy.........

Yup, I dug the ole spurs in.....didn't try to leave any rubber, just kicked her good coming out of the curve, which btw, she handled very well! If I could afford one I would've gone and put a deposit down on one this morning!

haha yeah good god the SVT is going to be RIDICULOUS... hmmm wonder if I could get that engine to fit into the old 66... something to think about.. haha

No......I drove the HOT car first thing yesterday AM to get it outta my system before all the HOT 15 and 16 y/o girls showed up for CPR class................

Summer 2006 we'll be seeing the SVT's...
As far as discounts go, lol... I can get a D plan price.. which means FULLY loaded GT still under MSRP that the base goes for. UNFORTUNATELY, you can't find them anywhere right now... even if you ordered one today we couldn't even guarantee that the car would be an 05. It would probably be an 06.

We do have one GT coupe left.. but it's at the collision center being repaired after the old, experienced salesman took it out and hit a patch of ice in february, slid past the other lane, went over a curb and hit a telephone pole with it. made me sick to see it. I'm 22 damnit, I thought I was supposed to be the guy that messes up the cars, not the 55+ year old.

That's okay....probably can't even order it in the color/int combo I'd want.......Ivy Green ext., with Tan (or as close to Palomino that they've got) interior.........to match my '65.

Note to self: Do not let BBFCM ride in the 05 until he can control his bodily functions

You should drive one once the owner has added a tuner. NO MORE throttle lag!!!! Still need to hit the dyno to adjust the other parameters though.

Since next week is the big Ford show at Kotts Berry Farm the week after is 05 GT suspension modifications.
