It has been a long time since Hack job has been sold. It has been even longer since Hack Job has been built. Well, that is all going to change.

I have a couple clean cars that are waiting for:

A 1997 Cobra 4.6L DOHC drivetrain. Some of you know I have had a 97 Cobra drivetrain sitting around the shop that I have been waiting to use in something. Well, it's time. Not 100% on when I will begin this project, but it's going to happen. Dash swap, ABS.....a twin to Hack Job. :nice:

Hell Yes. I thought the first hackjob was cool as hell. hurry up and build another

Thanks guys. I won't have pics up for a while, so don't get too excited.:rlaugh: I have 95% of the stuff I need. I sold all the brakes from the Cobra, the transmission crossmember, and the Steeda upper and lower (rear) control arms a while back. I didn't think I'd build another car, but I was a fool for thinking that. :D

One thing that is for sure is the dash swap and a 4V. No more "Why'd you use a 2V?" questions from people at car shows and street gatherings. :nice:

Oh hell ya . loved following your other build, I cannot wait to see what you come with too top your last build :nice:

:hail2: <---- enough said Matt

Thanks guys! I couldn't sleep last night. This kept me up.

sweet, can't wait! are you going to being doing the swap into another coupe, or are you going with a hatch this time?

Thanks. Unfortunately, it's not going to be a coupe, but fortunately I've got a couple solid prospects to use. They are both hatches. But my first two foxes were hatches back in 2001 and in 2005. Both white GT's.

We never finished our convo man!

Make no mistake though - wife and I will be out this summer so i'll "SEE" it then :nice:

I know, I got busy and was away from the computer. I'll catch you today on there and we'll finish up. And Justin...it will be a good time if you guys come out this summer, that I can promise.

Can't wait to see this one!

Thanks boys!! :nice:

Badass!!!

I have always wanted to start another project and do it right.

Damn life getting in the way.

A) Your car is frickin badass right now. I love the two tone, and I haven't picked a color or paint scheme yet, but you've got me thinking of another cool combo. (I don't wanna copy yours though)

B) Your house is very very nice. And it's big....so you'll need a lot of time to get settled in and get things how you want them. I saw your thread about the kitchen/dining area and posted. VERY NICE!

Are you going to do anything with the bottom end of the cobra motor? Are they as weak as the 98's motor?peace

john:p

No. The 96-98 Cobra motors are strong. Sure the pistons are hypers, but my tuner is making 500+RWHP with those 96-01 Cobra motors with stock bottom ends and he tunes then to live with meth and good fuel. But I won't be making anywhere near that, so I'm good.

Awesome!

I'll definitely be following this one too!

Thanks guys. I can't wait either. Just gotta pick some wheels. I just sold my 96-97 Cobra wheels to a guy. I've got a pair of 04 Cobra chrome replicas, but I always wanted FR500's. Hack Job wouldn't accept them with that 2001 rear axle because they weren't available in the offset I needed.

I'm open to opinions on color and wheels. :nice:
