No, I actually think the 07 Pats team is one of the best if not THE best team to ever play. But if they go 16-0 we'll never hear the end of it:p

I think the Steelers stand a very good chance. They are more physical and have more heart. The Pats have them in the talent department, but that isn't all football is.

true a lot of teams based on heart but then again its a lot more then talent driving the patriots this year. Few games they probably should have lost in all aspects, but they willed themselves to win. Takes some heart not to lose that game in Baltimore last monday.

You are allowed to shift the ball into a better position after the catch.. It does not have to be tucked in before you go out BUT you do have to seem to have control of the ball.. This is a judgment call and on this type of call the ref is looking for panic moves to get the ball in control and on this play there was none that they could use to overturn it.

But if it was called incomplete I am not sure they would have overturned that ruling with those replays.. It really was too close to overturn either way..

I really think this was a non factor.. Even if it was overturned the ravens had 30 yards of penalties on that play and I think they would have had a really hard time stopping the pats from scoring with 4 tries. even without the penalties you have the ball at the 8 with 3 shots at the end zone with moss and brady and the other weapons out there I like their chances to get it in.

BTW the worst non call of the season was on that hail mary.. Samuel was tackled by Mason on that play.. That was the most blatant offensive pass interference I have seen in years and it was not called.

I agree.. The Ravens shot the Pats in the leg, then ended up shooting themselves int teh face. It was thier game to loose and they lost it on thier own. You can't give the Pats more then one chance to get into the endzone, let along three :rlaugh:

this is going to be a good week of football I Hope! Pats/Steelers hopefully is a slug fest, and my G-men take on the Eagles which the last time the met the end result was 12 sacks! That I can assure you will not happen again, I just hope my QB shows the hell up in all 4 qts of this game and not 10 mins left in the 4th qt :rlaugh:

I am not saying this as a staffer only as another member on here and there is nothing wrong with your sig BUT.. I would not put that no cheating thing in your sig not only because of the steroid stuff but because it sounds like your crying and making excuses about 01 and 04

.

Oh relax. Just having some fun. I'm not making excuses for anything. The Pats were not the only team to knock the Steelers out of the playoffs. When Cowher took over in 92 til he left the Steelers only missed the playoffs twice. = Damn good and competitive team since forever ago.

So I think I'll leave it in.

I seen a banner in Heinz field that said "Five Rings * No Cheating"

People around here would throw a fit because they think their precious Seahawks got cheated..I can't wait to move back to Missouri to get outta this rainy crappy hell hole.

Thats cool.. Not everything posted on here has to be true :p :rlaugh:

You would never see me accuse the 70's steelers of cheating even if the entire team took roids.. You know why.. Because I would be a FRAUD if I did because just about the entire NFL was on the juice then and probably still taking stuff now.

Same thing as how everybody videotapes signals and tries to "steal" signs..

I never understood the big gripe from the seachickens fans about that game..

I wonder what ravens team is going to show up this week for indy?

you didn't watch the game then.

How did they get cheated? They were the ones with poor ass clock managment, Let fast willie go seventy five yards on a TD run, and the pass from Randle El to Ward. . .Lets just say there were 11 people in the world who didn't see that play coming and they were all on defense.

darrel jackson interference call was a TD, call was total BS.
BS call on locklear that would have had us on the 1 yd line
Roethlisberger did not have the running TD.
holding penalty at the 2 yd line was bs. not to mention all the other petty calls that were made that should just be kept out of championship games. those calls would have made a huge difference in the game....not to mention the momentum changes. seriously..even the announcers were put off by the calls on the field. It's even okay to be picky if the calls go both ways. but EVERY SINGLE questionable call went towards the steelers. but what do i know, i'm just a seachicken fan. and northwest teams could never be good at anything :rlaugh:

one turnover to two

roethlisberger had 120 yards

sea offense has almost 400 yards

to people that watched the game and actually understand football. the seahawks were cheated. not really by the steelers. but by the refs.

I have no hard feelings towards the steelers, they came a long way to get to that SB game, but it just seemed a little bitter to win like that.

Ben's running TD was a TD.

See his elbow? The ball is under there...:nonono: :nonono: :nonono:
If the picture isn't enough, watch a video clip. When he hits the ground where exactly is the ball? It's just short of the goal line. Now rewind it and watch how far he gets knocked back when he is kit by the Sea-Sissy.

The OPI call HAD to be called, the receiver was out on an island right in front of the ref and put his arm out and gave the defender a LITTLE push, but enough of one to keep him from defending the play.

One more reason I HATE living near Seattle. :notnice:

Spare me.

Seattle had every chance to stop Pittsbugh. What about the plays I mentioned that Seattle couldn't defend. (Parker's75 yard run, Randle El to Ward, etc?) Or the fact that Pittsburgh outside line backers were held every blitz but was only called once. That was the coaching in a game as far as clock management by Seattle. Nit pick all you want. If they want to get revenge in the SB, get back

I agree.. to be honest I was kind of hammered during that game so maybe I missed some of these so called bad calls..

I am sure if I watched the coaches tape of that game I can find missed calls or bad calls that went against the steelers. All of us fans find the bad calls that did not go our way and ignore the ones that did......

I hate stuff like this when fans of the team that lost try to discredit the team that won with crap like this.. I don't even like the steelers but they had a hell of a run that post season and they deserve what they won..

how pathathic is it making up excuses over the superbowl from years ago?

I love it when people call :bs: penalties. Want to know how :bs: the ones were that the Ravens accused the ref's of in the pats game. All of the plays were looked at and all were found to be legit calls, then 5 Ravens players were fined for shooting off at the mouth to the ref's in the media :rlaugh:

John Madden's NFL Week 13 Notebook (StangNet)

Hello again everyone! It’s getting near that time of the year again and I’m getting pretty excited abpout all the amazing things going on the NFL!

Let’s take a look at a few of Sunday’s match ups!

Dallas at Detroit: Well, the last few weeks have shown that the Lions are all roar but have no teeth. That’s OK because for the last century they have been a worthless team. Now at least they are heading in the right direction. Look for at least 2 Tony Romo to TO touchdowns as they head toward grabbing the NFC East title. You will see a lot of yards after the catch in this game! The NFC East is once again the power division in the NFL and you can pencil in Dallas to win this one, 34-17.

Miami at Buffalo: You how sometimes you have to get dressed late at night and take out the garbage? No one like to do it. That’s how this game will be played tomorrow. 2 stinkers going at it. The question is, will the Dolphins find themselves in a position to set a record 0-16 season as their division rivals try for 16-0? It looks to me like the Dolphins may do it. However, we all have seen some horrible play and play calling from Buffalo this year. This is one of the final games the Bills coaching staff will play and they better win this game to keep from being the embarrassment they could be. So if the Bills score more points, they will win this one. I’ve always been a big fan of scoring and it’s a good guess tomorrow’s game will be decided by the team that scores more points. Take the Bills over the Dolphins, 23-13.

NY at Philadelphia: Here we go again! In the leagues best division we have 2 also-rans. The Cowboys have this one wrapped up and the Giants aren’t yet a powerhouse. Everyone knows the Eagles had their chance and blew it again and again so don’t be surprised if Donovan McNabb pukes this game up. The last meeting saw the Giants sack the Eagles a record 32 times in one game. I expect the sack total tomorrow to be less than 15. Westbrook for the Eagles will be the force to be reconed with because he is a good football player. Michael Westbrook can run with the football. Michael Westbrook can also catch the football. Good old # 36 can make plays with the football. The Giants will have to really put a hat on a hat in order to stop him. The Eagles will have to keep the ball away from the Giants if Brandon Jacobs is healthy. He can really run over people! If the Eagles can score more points than the Giants, they will win this game at home. If not, don’t be surprised to see Andy Reid, a friend of mine, partying up big time with both his sons. I’m going to call this one even, with the Giants winning 27-24.

I’ll try to take a few questions from the StangNet crew and answer them here or on Sunday’s Nights Telecast, so ask away!

I’ll be back soon with more free expert analysis only for StangNet members. Remember to visit: http://www.easports.com/maddennfl/home.jsp

If you think about it, the NFC was really weak that year. I thought the Eagles were the best team in the NFC at that time. Anyone who thought Seattle had a chance against the Steelers was nuts.

Blah blah blah. Tony Romo, ESPN's queen of the year. I'm getting sick of hearing about him. Question: Where would Romo be without 10 full seconds to throw the ball on every play?

I am not surprised.. I have had many times I screamed about what I thought was bad calls only to see why it was the right call when the league officals explain the ruling.

the way I see it is that it all evens out. If there is a "bad call" it always seems to go the other way for the other team later on in the game. IMO there were no blatant :bs: calls in the Ravens game and especially after the leauge looks at it and declares that nothing questionable was found but I guess their word or opinion does not mean as much as a bunch of patriot haters on the internet.

I called out from work today, no not only for the Steelers game I really am sick I cant even talk but regardless I'll be here for the whole game today :D

SVT-

Its not a jinx to post while the Patriots play I have been all season long and its been fine. What is weird is the Eagles game and Ravens game I didnt have any Patriots apparel on like a jersey or hat and they struggled to win. I wont make that mistake again today:D
