So the Giants fans want to rip the Mayor of Boston for planning the parade early and for somene putting out a 19-0 book already but its ok for Strahan to say he hopes to be back next year to defend his title? He hasnt won anything yet and why is it "HIS" title, what about the rest of the team? Gap toothed idiot.

Patriots only getting 17? How aout the Giants being lucky to get 17 points. Score will be something like this.

38-14 Patriots

Regardless of what the score comes out to be Patriots take it and cover the 12 points.

You people are reading too much into this burress strahan crap. Its all an act, they are asking questions and they are answering them jokingly.. Plax was JOKING when he was predicting the outcome. It was followed by a LAUGH..

What about brady's "shoulder injury"... Its all an act for the retarted media period.

As far as Buress saying 23-17 he was not serious. A reporter asked him what he thought about the game and he just said 23-17 and laughed. I thought it was a great answer. He didn't even give a team. Not bulliton board material in the least bit. HE WASN'T SERIOUS. But the book 19-0 is bulliten board stuff. Not the Pats fault on that. Strahan saying HIS title. . .do you think he doesn't think his team can win??

Why is that when a Giants fan says something good about their team they get slammed cause they are not 18-0? I mean they are looking at it in a reaistic way saying ,"Yeah, my team tried hard and came up short. Only makes sense that this one could be close." I agree. I thik it will be closer than some people think and then there will be a meaningless score somewhere near then end.

But don't beat up on the G-men fans for looking at things for what they are. OR for them thinking their team can win. I mean no one on here plays in the NFL so you don't have to talk SMACK if you don't want to. Not everyone has to bow down to NE.

The Pats have 100% WAYYY MORE PRESSURE to win this game then the giants do. They have already been written off as a looser, NE is EXPECTED to win and make history, if they win its history, if they loose its history, TEH biggest collapse by a team in NFL history. To go unbeaten through 18 games and loose the final one. bummer..

we will just have to see after the game the outcome

Totally agreed on the Eli comment. No more than two for Eli or chances are they will be down too far to play their game. I don't think the Giants have to play a perfect game to win. But they do have to contain Brady and Welker.

I disagree with the Eli comments..

If he throws 2 picks THEY WILL LOOSE. he threw one pick last time and they lost, he has to be "perfect" in order for them to have a "chance"

This is where I hope the Giants do well...their running game has been great this year, and great in the playoffs.

Just when a team starts to contain Jacobs power running, they throw in Bradshaw with his speed running...I could only imagine if they had Ward in there...lets's just hope (for us Giants fans) that Jacobs & Bradshaw can run like they've been because that will settle down Eli & give the Giants a good fighting chance!

I agree.. Next season they will have a lethal package.. Ward healthy, they should have Jacobs, Ward, and Bradshaw pending nobody leaves..

AND they will probably run a 2 TE package with Shockey and Boss.

It does not matter, it was media day you cant say anything regarding the score w/ out them running to the press w/ your prediction. Just the start of the inexperience showed by the Giants players in the superbowl. Cant even make it through media day w/ out throwing out predictions.

I think you mean his ankle, the boot he was wearing, the taped up ankle in practice...all a show for the media and for the Giants to plan/think about something that wasn't even going to be a factor. Brady served it up on a silver platter and the press ate it right up

The thing is the Patriots know how to handle the pressure, its been on them all year. People were calling for 16-0 before half of the season was even over. I heard talks of 16-0 after week 4. They endured that pressure all year long. Why have I not seen any comments from Eli? Does not one care to talk to him or do they just know he's going to fold like a lawn chair when the time comes so why bother?

No i think you need to read a little more about your "beloved patriots"

After a week of speculation over the condition of quarterback Tom Brady's mild high ankle sprain, the MVP's status was officially clarified Wednesday night: he fully participated in practice despite — believe it or not — a "right shoulder" injury, the same mysterious ailment that has landed Brady on the injury report for the last three seasons.

How is taping an ankle, a fake shoulder injury - a show for the media, any different then joking about a prediction on teh game.. guess what buddy,, its the same thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why would you see comments from Eli? He's working... He has been in some high pressure situiations this season (especially in the playoffs) and HAS NOT folded like a lawn chair.. Even in the final game of the season against the pats he didn't "fold"

Where do they stand?

What if the Giants lose Sunday? What if the Pats suffer the loss? Just where do they stand?

The 1 sucky thing about the Superbowl is that there is a loser. Every year, the winner is talked about with reverence for several months and the loser is treated pretty much like, well, a loser.

IMO, just to make it to the Superbowl; winning your conference title is a damn fine accomplishment and some recogition should be given.

If the Giants lose on Sunday to the Pats, I think it leaves them in a fine position. They went far above and beyond what anyone had predcted for them. They had a terrific playoff run with 3 great road wins, 1 in freezing sub-zero Lambeau and the other right in Jerry Jones back yard.

If the Pats lose, a lot of people I've spoken to say the 2007 campaign was a waste. I don't agree. Going unbeaten for every game in a regular season is a phenominal accomplishment that has only happened once before... in a 14 game season.

So, where do you think a Superbowl loss would leave the Gmen or Pats? Can it still be said they had a great season?

There are a select few teams who year in and year our are in the top 2-3 teams and for those select few its Superbowl or Bust. This year the Pats went 16-0 and are on course for history which is the only thing that team has yet to accomplish and if they lose it will be an absolute failure and the biggest upset in NFL history.

Most teams are happy to make the playoffs or win a playoff game, but for the Colts, Steelers, and especially the Pats being good is not enough, you need to win it all.

No its not, its not predicting a score. Injuries not being as severe as they are have always been a part of football as far as the injury report. He prob did have a sore ankle and it may have been a minor sprain. Do I think he was 100% free from injury...no do I think they played it up for it to be worse then it was...yes. As far as his shoulder its been on there so much that no one even thinks twice about it anymore. Listing brady as "probable right shoulder" means nothing and everyone knows it

b/c I want to see what he has to say. Like I said its to big of a show for him. He knows, the coach knows and the team knows he cant take the pressure thats why hes been kept out of the cameras for most of the week. The more he realizes how big this game is the worse it is for him. I never said he folded like a lawn chair week 17, why do you guys keep bringing up week 17? It has not bearing on this game plus the Giants lost. Im saying he will fold like a lawn chair this game. The fumbling INT throwing confused Eli we saw the beginning of the year is still there, hes about due for a showing.

Telling the media they want to hear, and distorting things so it makes a story is what its about.. thats what brady and even moss were doing, thats what plax was doing. He even said it in a media session yesterday that he's just having fun, soaking it up, and joking around and not to take what anyone on either team is saying serious. and thats the truth.

Where has he been kept away from cameras for a week? Media day he was early and started his session early, and ran over and stayed later then he was susposed to He is infront of the cameras just as much as anyone else. You can see all that he has to say on espn.com, and nfl.com. As far as the pressure etc, he has been calm, cool, relaxed doing what he has to and prepair for this game. He could look confused and relapse, but i dont think it will happen this time. We'll just have to wait and see

Im sure he "appears" clam cool and relaxed. Im sure thats not exactly how he's feeling. We'll see how calm cool and relaxed he is after Harrison pounds him into the ground...or is that Bruschi, or Vrable....Seymour..ummm Thomas..Seau?

Dude you made it sound like you had no idea wtf i was talking about when i said "shoulder injury" and said you thought i ment ankle..

i dont think he was covering anything but whatever...

i'd like to see them pound through the g-men o-line constantly.. Last time i checked the giant O line wasn't chitty.. All i hear is how the pat's Offence is what carried them through the season Not saying the pats D is horrible because they are 18-0 BUT they aren't that amazing and frankly don't scare me one bit..

You, sir, are 100% correct. After the Patriots beat the Colts, Brady was asked about being 9-0 and his response was "9-0, so what? It doesn't matter.. none of this matters.. I don't care. 9-0 is nice, but if you don't win the big prize in january then it's all a waste."

Before the game with the Ravens, he was hounded with 11-0 questions and his response was "11-0? 11 games isn't a big deal.. i've won 3 superbowls and we've won 21 straight games before.. so 11-0 isn't a big deal, it's just 11 1-game winning streaks."

I've seen a lot of Eli interviews this week and he seems like he's handling it alright, but there have been a few times where he looked a little out of character, probably just because of some ridiculous questions tho.

We did get a glimpse of "bad Eli" in the week 17 game in the second half. If you recall when the Patriots started on their 22-0 run, as the lead began to shrink he fumbled a snap on a key Giants possession and had to fall on it, then threw a couple terrible passes in a 3-and-out. Their next possession, they were down by 3 and he looked terrified almost, then threw the pick. After those 2 possessions he went back to being pretty good and led his team down for a TD to bring them within 3. The Patriots just brought a LOT of pressure on him those 2 possessions, more than they had all game, and he had a little trouble with it but then they stopped bringing as much pressure and he calmed down.

So, those 2 possessions are going to be key for the Giants and Patriots to look at because Belichick has been given a key to rattling Eli.. but on the other hand, Eli needs to look at those formations and personell packages on the Defense and make sure he stays calm and doesn't make any mistakes when they bring the pressure like that, because I have a feeling they'll start bringing a lot if the Pats jump out to a 2-possession lead

Nah, he was being pressured by the LB's on a blitz and threw the ball up in the air in the direction of Burress(I think it was Burrss, i'll have to go back and watch it to be sure) and he was double-covered by Rodney Harrison underneath and Ellis Hobbs over the top. Hobbs was just standing there and it went right into his arms. Those couple possessions were the only "Bad Eli" appearances.

Eli is ice. Nothing can rattle him.

If any QB will fold like a lawn chair on Sunday it will be Brady.

The thing is Belichick is great at changing up those packages and those looks. Eli can master what formations and scheme's that were used on those two possessions except he wont see those same ones again, especially for a Superbowl game. If those formations were enough to get to him and rattle his cage then he has yet to see what can really be done.

How come everyone of your posts directed towards me starts out with either how stupid I am, how stupid my posts are or how I need to re read or change what I say? Frankly and all kidding aside I'm really sick of it so shut it. Everyone else in this thread including your Giants companions are not stooping to your level. Show some class for once.

Second of all Brady has been to 3 Superbowl's, won all 3 of them. I don't see him being the one to fold like a lawn chair. After all hes not the one that threw 20 INT's this season not to count all the fumbles as well.

Exactly.. Belichick has seen what gets to Eli during a close game and i'm sure he'll use it wisely.
