So I have an opinion on something and I am proud of what my team does and this is how you see it? Ignorance is bliss. Actually Belichick is one of the if not the best coach to ever be in the NFL. He has the highest post season win % as a coach, even higher then Vince Lombardi

hey...I didn't have a problem with your posts...they were, for the most part lucid, intelligent, and well thought-out D)

my point was that you can't bash a 4th season rookie...there are MUCH worse QB's out there...and Eli gets the job done (with some mistakes here and there) and has improved each year.

I agree with you that I think Eli will be a much better qb given a few more years to mature. The problem Eli has is that he is a manning. He has to try to live up to what his brother has done in the NFL, and that is almost a impossible task for him..

I have one thing to add to the catfight in here.

Tom Brady has had an amazing career, but he's also been part of one of the best coached team his entire career, and the Patruits have never been without significant talent either. He could have been a nobody if he was drafted by someone else.

BTW don't get mad at it, just realize you are a victim of the patriots success over the last 7-8 years and the fact that they have reloaded and maybe better than ever.. after winning 3 superbowls has pissed a lot of people off.

Totally disagree.. The patriots have always been loaded on defense but he never had much offensive talent around him. Plus you have to remember this guy won a superbowl with the exact same team that a decent qb ( drew bledsoe who was a number 1 overall) failed big time with.

The only other qb I think the patriots would have won as many games with would be peyton manning.. and if he played in NE before this year I bet he would have had similar career numbers.

I always thought this and now that the pats have some real WR's... I have been proven right.. brady is having a historic year so far in the only season he has had real wideouts.. The only other WR's he ever had that could even be considered decent were troy brown and branch... Brown was old even when brady was a rookie and branch was seriously overrated.

Think about it, where is the other ex patriot wide receivers??? after they did not have brady to throw to them all of a sudden it got exposed how bad they sucked.


This is one thing I will admit I was very wrong about. I used to say good WR's was not a big deal but I was wrong big time.

Other then this years team, like SVT said name the big name offensive players they have had which took them to and won 3 super bowls. Their defense has always been good, but if anything their offense has always been lacking. If Brady had offensive weapons like Manning has his whole career then he would have Manning numbers as well. Look at what happens when Brady is given receivers as good as what Manning has always had....he puts up stats so far even more impressive then Manning's. The thing is he was never drafted to anyone else and thats not what happened or how things are now. Playing the "WHAT IF" game is pointless

WTF are you talking about. Ever patriots fan should be grateful for what Belichick has done for this organization. Its not big secret that the Defenses that he formulates wrecks havoc on young QB's, hes done it to Roethlisberger and hes done it to Manning and many other QB's in the league. What makes you think Romo will be immune? Hes only played 14 games not even a full season, hes far from an experienced QB. Experts are to quick to put players on pedestals before they have even accomplished anything, he hasn't even won a play off game yet.

You honestly think that there is nothing from that game that the patriots can take and use to beat them next week? Your the one on the high horse of denial, along with thinking the Giants are actually going to go anywhere....pipe dream.

The only thing im saying is., that you make it out to be like every other team in the entire NFL is chit... Im not jealous at all, the Giants suck, i deal with it.. Also i never once said that the giants were going ANYWHERE. WTF i cant get excited if they are on a 3 game winning streak? Pipe dream my ass, there never was a pipe, or a dream for me.. I just wanted them to do better then 8-8 and i'm happy! Stop making me out to say things i wouldn't have and didnt say alright? I realize your defense wreaks havoc or whatever, but its been 3 years since they have been to the superbowl.. Manning was there and so was rothlesberger.. So the patriots ARE human and CAN make mistakes? Do you honestly think the cowboys cant take anything they saw from the patriots game to use against them when they play them? Its not just a one way thing, other teams do the same thing. I understand the pats do have an awesome coach and talent sprouting from all over, but lets see if they can make it to the superbowl this year.. Find the posts where I said all other teams are crap? I never stated that I'm only supporting what the Patriots have done up to this point. The only time I ever put other teams down like the giants is when someone fires the first shot and says crap like the Patriots are really not as good as they seem just b/c they haven't played anyone yet. It does not matter what the record of the team is the league is full of talent and you still need to win games. The Cowboys showed that very very well last Monday night and I always said that you still have to win the games no matter who the other team is. On stats the Cowboys should have blown them out b/c the Bills had won 1 game and they where one of the "garbage" teams, yet the cowboys never got the lead until 00.00 left in the game with a last 2 second field goal........ You still need play no matter who the team is. The entire league of players is too good to ever take one team to lightly.

With the exception of 1 year since 2001 the patriots have been in every post season or won 2 more Superbowl's. Name one team in the NFL in the past 7 years who has made regular Superbowl appearances or play off runs to get to it? Over the past 5+ years the Patriots have been the most successful team in the NFL that fact cannot be denied. Yes Roethlisberger and Manning have both made it, but not before the Patriots gave them their fair share of losses and knocking them out of the Playoffs before they got there. They knocked them both out of the playoffs twice on their way to win Superbowl's.

Once again, where did I say they couldn't? Some people read my posts to literally there is a gray area but no one appears to see it. If a team blows out another team 38-10 then its a pretty mistake free game so in order to beat that team the next week you need to formulate a plan on which you think will work against them. If a team wins by 1 point with 2 seconds left then its either a close mistake free game or on team played like crap and I think we can all agree that the Cowboys played like crap. Over the past 5 weeks I'm sure there is tons of stuff on film the cowboys can find and use to gain and edge on the patriots but its a matter of them to execute it. Its been well stated on many sports shows how good the patriots have been at exposing teams weak points and using it to their advantage. I was only stressing that point even further.

I love football just as much as anyone else even if the patriots are not playing or have not played yet I watch any game I can. But this is where we run into a problem. Little history lesson..... Since the OFFICIAL NFL FOOTBALL thread was created its been a yearly thing since then. A few people have stuck around as regular posters in it while others are no longer around. We always have the yearly FIRE MILLEN!!!! and "THE BROWNS STILL SUCK" But for the most part this thread has changed a lot. Myself, Kid and this guy I called Blackie (not his real S/N) were avid posters in past threads. There were TONS!!! of smack talk, gloating and $hit talking about other teams. This was a done on a daily weekly basis. Everyone $hit talked their team to be the best team that's ever stepped onto a field and if they lost then you ate your huge helping of humble pie. No one was expected to be nice friendly. If the other guys team lost you rubbed it in their face and if your team lost you took it and moved on.

When the Patriots lost to the Colts last year in the Conference championship I never made excuses for what happened. I never said the receiver ran the wrong route and it was not brady's fault for the INT, he forced a pass that was a bad decision and that was the end of it (anyone can ask Kidd). The reasons Im saying this is Ive never made excused for when they lose. If you talk up your team you have to take the good with the bad and thats what was always expected in this thread. You pretty much needed tough skin to be a regular poster in the yearly NFL thread and now it seems like its been Pussified. Someone down talks someone elses team and they get all butt hurt and "your picking on me and you talk to much $hit"...so what ...... get back at me when the Patriots lose its as simple as that, throw back in my face what I throw in everyone else's its only fair. This thread at times reminds me to much of crying tree hugging liberals when it should have the image of steak eating lumber jacks. The Patriots very well could lose the next 3 games in a row and Id eat all the humble pie you guys could dish out but of course I'm not going to post as though I think they are going to lose. I support the Patriots having seen the players in Multiple Superbowl parades and being proud of what they have done and are doing now and if that strikes some people the wrong way then hey what can I say. I mean not everyone has to stick up for their team to the extent I do its just my preference. But its almost like some people expect Im sorry get well soon cards if their team looses. I really don't see where all the comments of me saying every team sucks and the Patriots are unstoppable are. Its almost as if everyone pissed just b/c the Patriots are preforming as well as I hoped, that's not my fault. Sorry its not your team being talked about 24/7 on ESPN but I cant help that either.

When this place had more of a rougher edge no one took anything personally we all knew it was just "talk" and its not like we where talking about someones mother, we knoew and expected hatefull comments about eachothers teams b/c it was all in good fun b/c we always knew there would be a "Payback" at some point. I love football just as much as anyone else even if the patriots are not playing or have not played yet I watch any game I can. But this is where we run into a problem. Little history lesson..... Since the OFFICIAL NFL FOOTBALL thread was created its been a yearly thing since then. A few people have stuck around as regular posters in it while others are no longer around. We always have the yearly FIRE MILLEN!!!! and "THE BROWNS STILL SUCK" But for the most part this thread has changed a lot. Myself, Kid and this guy I called Blackie (not his real S/N) were avid posters in past threads. There were TONS!!! of smack talk, gloating and $hit talking about other teams. This was a done on a daily weekly basis. Everyone $hit talked their team to be the best team that's ever stepped onto a field and if they lost then you ate your huge helping of humble pie. No one was expected to be nice friendly. If the other guys team lost you rubbed it in their face and if your team lost you took it and moved on.

When the Patriots lost to the Colts last year in the Conference championship I never made excuses for what happened.
