AFC Championship Sunday: Chargers at Patriots

Not much personal on this one although half of the Patriots are former LSU players. So I'd like to see them do well but the Chargers for the win. :D

Yes...this thread will wind up in the grand daddy so don't whine.

Why does Eli annoy you?
He's another Old Miss guy who plays the game tough as he can and has no on or off field issues.
He doesnt taunt fans or players. He works really hard to get better. I can't think of a single thing Eli has done to annoy anyone after his refusal to go to the Chargers back in early 2004.

So, WTF?

no its b/c its an internet thread and Im not a crying wuss like so many others here. So many hurt feelings just b/c I dont like your pictular teams

grow the hell up, if anyone wants to start throwing out the cry baby remark then theres alot in here that need to take a look in the mirror and have needed to ALL SEASON LONG....

You know, I don't think it's going to happen but I'm going to laugh and laugh and laugh if the Pats lose today.

If the Giants win today, they will definatly have you crappin' your pants about Feb 3rd and you can deny it all you want!
:rlaugh:

Why on Earth would they be worried!? Are you insane? They would much rather face the G-Girls than Favre and the Packers.

Not "they", RedLine. If you watched the games this year, you will see that the Giants gave the Pats their toughest win this year.
RedLine has been wrong with almost everything he has said this year, especially so with the Giants & Eli.

Secret back door talk with "I won't play for the Chargers" crap. Hated Elway for the same thing. I think it is arrogant for a college player to tell a team "don't pick me" when thousands of others never even get a chance to play.

There are certain teams that players would want to play at. Hell, if I was in that position and a team like say the Dolphins wanted to draft me I would say no! I mean, the Dolphins are alright. If I was as highly sought by another team and I was drafted by a team I didn't want to play for, I would do the same.

You gotta look out for yourself.

Eli's father was a very good NFL QB who played for a bad team for 11 years. The team that drafted him just plain blew and his career was wasted. He told his son about what would happen if he was drafted into a loser franchise and that's exactly what the Chargers were in 2004.

It wasn't a bad team, it was a bad franchise he avoided. So, taking good fatherly advice is arrogant?

Did you know that John Elway did the exact same thing to the Colts?

Either going with the Giants, or staying with the Chargers back in '04 Manning would be in the same place now, so I'd say it's a draw. The Chargers have had more success than the loser Saints ever will when his dad was with them. Air Corriel.

Yes but no one had a crystal ball. The 2004 big trade helped SD land their kicker and Merriman with the extra pics they got from NY.
