The Official kiddiccarus 2007 NFL Thread

Eli's father was a very good NFL QB who played for a bad team for 11 years. The team that drafted him just plain blew and his career was wasted. He told his son about what would happen if he was drafted into a loser franchise and that's exactly what the Chargers were in 2004.

It wasn't a bad team, it was a bad franchise he avoided. So, taking good fatherly advice is arrogant?

Did you know that John Elway did the exact same thing to the Colts?
It was bad advise. I know all about Archie and the Saints. I grew up watching him go 8-8 in his best season. But the Chargers were a good organization. Nothing like the Saints and about the same level as the Giants.

And yes...that is why I disliked Elway for years. It wasn't until all of those years at Denver when they sucked and he stuck it out that I gained respect for him.
