The Official kiddiccarus 2007 NFL Thread

I am hoping for a close game. If we have a game like tonight, I will just fall over and die lol..

Dude i was screaming so loud it was nuts i know the feeling!!!

They kept up really well the last time but they have a few things going against them this time.

1. Patriots have not gone to a super bowl and lost it with its current core of players/head coach.

2. Belichick has two full weeks to prepare for a team......we have all seen in past regular season games what he and the team can accomplish in one week.

3. Patriots have a large number of players with super bowl experience. Will it be to much for some of the giants players to over come as far as the big game? How will they preform? We will have to wait two weeks and see. How the Patriots prefrom in the big game can be said from their past history to the big game....3 trips...3 wins in this decade

+1

plus i mean the giants have 2 weeks to prepair too...

I thought the week 17 NY/NE game was one of the more, if not the most, exciting games against the Pats this year...

Hopefully they follow it up and make the superbowl just as exciting as that!!

I'm just looking forward to a good game!!!!

GO GIANTS!

WHOOOOO GMENNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I read all these posts how the giants will get crushed (as always) and the Pats will take them by 20+...

I guess you people forget that the giants hung with the pats in week 17, probably closer then any other team thus far this season  Not saying the Giants will win the game, but i just hope they can hang with them and make it exciting..

and if they win, i would like to make the NFL forum next season.. unless its taken already :)

That's ok - NE is gonna crush them (any anyone else that went anyway)

How do you figure??

well, guess the pats are going to be undefeated superbowl champs this year. the packers i think had a chance, the giants? nah, i dont see that even coming close.

Again, what makes you think the game won't be a good one? You say you dont see them even coming close when they ALMOST beat the pats once already?? I think its going to be a game that will be decided in the 4th qt like the last one..

Seems like you people forget week 17

This should be an intresting game. Its gonna come down to adjustments. Both teams played hard against each other earlier. I'll kinda break it downl ike this:

-The Pats have been there before but have more riding on this one cause of the perfect season. So as hard as it is to say there is a lot of pressure to win this game.

-Its not like the Giants don't have pressure. Of course they do. However I would say they that if I were them I would be saying "Hey, no one expeted us to even be here. We aren't supposed to be able to compete with this team. We have nothing to loose." The Pats have everything to loose cause if they loose, it would be the biggest dissapointment in recent memory.

However I still think the Pats take it.

Is it me or do the Giants remind you of the Steelers of a few years ago. Not picked to make the playoffs. . .make it. Not picked to win their first playoff game. . .win it. Picked to loose against the next team by a decent spread. . . win again. Got a pat on the back for making it to the title game but no gonna go any farther. . . win again to go to the Superbowl. Let's see if it has the same outcome as it did for Pittsburgh. I doubt it but gotta play the game!

They also showed something on ESPN on other title games that went into OT and all of the winners of the OT game lost in the Superbowl....lets see if its any different.

Who compiles these statistics?

I swear, every time you watch a game, they give you these obscure statistics like "Every time a quarterback eats a cheeseburger at Mcdonalds on a Tuesday before a game, he loses." They must have fleets of interns compiling this crap.

BUTTT i just saw on ESPN... Last team to start 0-2 and go to the superbowl was the Patriots.. and they won.. that was 02 superbowl

Patriots didnt win it in 02 :p

Im just conveying some interesting stuff thats brought up on ESPN, some of it holds true, some of its bunk but its all interesting. Im just trying to bring some conversation into the thread so no need to be cynical
