don't worry...I'll keep the thread in line too!!! I avoided the NFL thread and stayed mostly in the Giants thread because of some Patriots fan always bashing the Giants and calling Eli a bum

Congrats G-men, that was a damn close game. Glad it was the Giants and not the Cowboys; Strahan deserved a SB ring.
Patriots came in flat and choked, while the front 4 for the G-men gave Brady crap the whole game.
But one thing I don't understand... why are Cowboys fans I know making fun of the Patriots for losing to the Giants?.. Doesn't really make sense, plus they have no reason to talk since they haven't won a playoff game in over a decade.

No, it's just a game. The G-men were the hottest team in football at the time and the better team that night, but I have no doubts that the Patriots will be back in the AFC Championship with a shot at the SB next year, so it's all good.

true that...the Pats/Cowboys game week 5 was a boring blowout for the cowboys.
Yep. After the cowboys grabbed the lead early in the 3rd quarter the Pats went on a 27-3 run. Wasn't much of a game after the 3rd quarter was over

I'm a Patriots fan, and I am still here, though I don't frequent The Sports Bar much. I'm disappointed that my team lost, I was pretty depressed all day yesterday but hey, it happens. The Giants played well, they had the better gameplan. Brady did not look comfortable or like himself. He was making bad throws and getting a lot of pressure. So congrats the the Giants fans for now. There is always next year I guess. The Patriots have the talent to get back there for a few years to come. Their defense is aging but they are very good at managing money and draft/free agency that I think they will pull it together.
FOR THE RECORD...THE PATRIOTS DID NOT, I REPEAT, DID NOT CHOKE. THEY WERE BEATEN BY A SUPERIOR TEAM PLAYING RELENTLESS DEFENSE AND AN OFFENSE THAT MADE PLAYS WHEN THEY NEEDED TO

The feature players are Randy Moss and Asante Samuel. Tedy Bruschi, Junior Seau, Jabar Gaffney and Randall Gay are also free agents. Seau and Bruschi are both on the verge of retiring I believe. Seau is like 100 years old. Given their past history of paying corners, they are not going to give Samuel what he wants, so he is probablu going to walk. They should do their best to re-sign Moss and try to get younger defensive players in the draft.
