The Official NCAA College Football Thread

woo woo

Today (well yesterday technically since it's 3 AM) Pat White became the only quarterback in NCAA history to win a bowl game all four years that he played as a starting quarterback.

NICE!:nice:

We're gonna miss ya, Pat!

They were talking about him during the Dolphins/Jets game about how he would be perfect for the Wildcat Offense. look for him to go pretty high in the draft.

Well, the Big Ten is off to a rough start. At least Iowa played well today and Georgia is doing everything they can to let MSU win. I'm thinking Georgia will come out in the 2nd half and put the wood to the Spartans. I was surprised to see Northwestern play with Mizzo. I guess Mizzo should be called the paper tigers instead of tigers.

I haven't watched too many games today since I had to work. I'm watching the Rose Bowl now but Brent Musberger is spoozing all over USC so I can't stomach watching it anymore. He is now whining something about USC could win the NC if something weird happens in the upcoming games.

Yeah, if Oklahoma and Florida both lose to each other:rlaugh:

Anybody watching Utah roll on Bama? 21-3 right now in the first half. Strype????

wtf happened to bama tonight? i am very very surprised at that outcome.

what i'm not surprised at is the outcome of the ole miss game. that makes me more confident in the NC game thursday...

I'll tell you what happened, they thought they could just show up and whoop up on the little guys, bring their "big boy football" and just roll over a mountain West team. If any of you guys watched the game, you know that Utah completely dominated the Tide in every aspect. The Ute defense was in JPW's face all night long, and sacked him 8 times! So that's 4 ranked teams to fall to the Utes this year, two of them from the top 10, one of the others was ranked 7th at one time, and the other beat USC!

Now go ahead and tell me that they don't deserve to be national champs.:nonono:

13-0!!!

They have my vote. Pretty much dismantled Bama.

13-0!!!

Imo they dont. Its harder to go 12-1 with Florida or Oklahomas schedule than 13-0 playing in the MWC.

Go lobby the Pac 10 for admission if you want to have a shot at the national championship.

Heck better yet...

Take Utah and Boise State and put them both in the Pac 10.

Then take TCU and put them in the Big 12.

Take either Missouri or Iowa State from the Big 12 and put them in the Big 10.

Take East Carolina, Notre Dame, Central Michigan, and Buffalo and put them in the Big East.

6 12 team leagues

6 conference winners in a playoff

2 at large teams making an 8 team total playoff

They beat 4 teams who will FINISH the year ranked in the top 25, and didn't lose to anybody. I just don't buy all the crap about if you don't play in the SEC you don't it crap. And btw the Mountain West was a pretty tough conference this year, 6-2 against the PAC 10 and 2-0 against the SEC:D

The 4 teams that Utah beat where BYU, TCU, Oregon State, and Alabama.

Utah barely beat TCU, TCU had that game from the get go but just gave it away in the end. Thats the same TCU team that Oklahoma blew out.

They barely beat a pathetic Michigan team that Ohio State and Penn State both crushed.

BYU will probably not finish in the top 25 of the final BCS standings. They got blown out by a mediocre Arizona team in the bowl game.

They barely beat Oregon State who also got blown out by Penn State.

I understand you are bitter, but come on man. If most of your schedule is junk you need to really blow out your tough competition to be considered one of the best.

USC, Florida, Oklahoma, Texas, Ohio State, Penn State, Virginia Tech, etc didnt play Utah State, UNLV, Colorado State, Weber State, Wyoming, San Diego State, Air Force, etc as the bulk of their games.

I guarantee just about any big time program would KILL for Utah's schedule every year.

Spout all you want, but they beat more teams that will finish ranked than either OK or Florida, and they beat the only team to beat USC. Florida lost to an unranked team at home, does the best team in cfb do that? No. The system is screwed and if yo ucan't see that then I don't know what to say. How does OK get in ahead of Texas when they lost to them on a neutral field?
