The Official NCAA College Football Thread

that one game was important, but not as huge as you're making it out to be. that was not the same bama team that came to play the sec champ game. i know, it's how it was played, but still, you're going overkill

it's soooooooo stupid that the state attorney general of utah is filing a lawsuit for violation of federal antitrust laws. what a fuggin joke. they have NOTHING better to do in that state than bitch and moan about the bcs? i mean, dont get me wrong, i see their pain, but, ****, at least when auburn got snubbed in 04 they kept to themselves, and swallowed the pain, rather than getting the government involved.... pathetic

Which is why they aren't a "great team" IMO. Great teams don't lose to inferior teams just because they are on an emotional letdown.
I should have expanded my thought...I agree with you. But still if they had played them earlier I think the outcome my have been different.

Bama sucked all season, they just got luck. Stop making excuses for them!
You don't go undefeated in ANY conference without some sort of talent. Although I agree they were lucky in some games (against LSU for example) there is no way they make it through the season without a loss on pure luck.

oklahoma did FAR better than i assumed... props to them.... but you can NOT stop tim tebow and crew when they are determined to win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3 in a row for the SEC, 2 in 3 years for UF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this thread is mine next year! GO GATORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! congrats to OU for a good season, but they didnt have it in em.... gators are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It'll be interesting to see how the AP poll shakes out. I'm guessing U of F will get that title as well, but I foresee a fair share of #1 votes going to other teams. USC will get a bunch and Utah will get 1 or 2 and U of T will get 1 or 2 also.

Whats different though is Florida was already #1 in the AP poll. It would be an injustice to rank anyone over them since they beat the AP #2 and the BCS #2. That is the difference from the last split when the AP had USC #1 before the bowl games. They didn't lose so they shouldn't fall.
