It serves as place holder for videos so that they are easy to find and simple to reference across multiple threads and posts throughout the forum.
If you feel the video will be used one time then the link to those videos can posted one-time in the thread that they are a part of. Of course, that thread would have a corresponding thread title, a subject, and subsequent conversation.
