Guys....

well, let me tell you. traction is cool. but a big gap between ur body and rubber isnt.

i just put cougar springs in my 87 gt convert
and lemme tell you the ass is high, it feels cool sitting in it but the ass is so high.

what type of rubber can i put on 17" cobras to fill in that space a bit ?

also, sometin is wrong wit da tranny, in neutral, when im coasting, i hear a clickity clakity sound ? a plan on putting a new clutch in next week (burnt out) but when i do i would like to kno what to look for.

another question!!!! at or about 3500 rpm there is a terrible vibration (TERRIBLE) in the shifter knob. would it be my shaft ? balanced or something like that ? or motor mounts ? i just replace the tranny mount rubber thingy!!!!

thanks for your help guys...

Lmao I can tell you already with that much lift the pinion angle is fubared, What was your reasoning for doing this? If you upgrade the upper and lower control arms some adjustable shocks you should have no problems hooking on a 26x10.

As far as rubber size you prob could fit a 31x9 maybe 30x10.5 or so under it.

Maybe find some 450 pound guy to sit in the back of you car and eat nachos. That should close that gap. It might hurt the 1/4 mile time, but it can't hurt you chances with the ladies much more than a 5 inch gap in the rear.

Pics please ?

I would not drive the vehicle at all if its vibrating due to misalignments like discribed. You are taking a big risk of damaging your stang and then having to invest thousands to get back to point A.

wow, cougars are WAY heavier than mustangs and use a heavier rate spring which is why it lifted your car. what possessed you to put them in?

bigger tires will do nothing for you. you cant get them just bigger on top to fill the gap, they will make the car higher and look stupid anyway. why does everyone think bigger wheels will help fill wheel gap???

change the springs out ASAP, and if you get 17" cobras, run a 245/45/17 tire.
