From an interview with drag racer "Sneaky" Pete Robinson:

Interviewer - "Pete, what's the secret in drag racing?"

Pete - "Make everything as light as possible."

Interviewer - "How do you do that?"

Pete - "You throw the parts up in the air. Any parts that come down are too heavy."

Interviewer - "If they are too heavy, then what do you do?"

Pete - "You drill hundreds of holes in them to make them lighter."

Interviewer - "So, then your put them back on the car?"

Pete - "No, then you throw them away because they are probably too weak to do the job and you probably didn't need them in the first place."

Yup! :D

I will let ya in on a little secret. Don't tell the guys with less than 400 rwhp because it will really help them, ... 100 lbs on a slow car makes a huge difference. The blue car went 11.3 with only 360rwhp. A stock 03 cobra is around 370rwhp and the best I have seen anyone turn bone stock is low 13's. That's a bunch of ET for 600 or so pounds! I think Pete may be on to something there.

you guys aint seen nothin yet, jeff has a fresh coupe shell waiting for me for next winter in his garage at home. i have learned enough building the last 4 coupes that i still have a good 300 lbs to play with on the next one. wait till it goes 8's at only i'd say 145 with the power we won't be making.
skate or die
love wally

saw/plazma/drill and die grind all just waiting for the go from jeff

You tell em Wally:nice: Maybe you can cut off enough weight that those 1/4inch bolts will work in the drive train:rolleyes: And mister tuner, it would appear as though the sliegh got to ya on its first time out:p When you cant make a little BUMP work without a timer:shrug: Maybe you should bring a DVD of the Fast and the F--ked up to the track with you for tips::shock:  Love Santa.

shouldn't you be fixing your broke ass torque converter santa!
to correct you that was a kit and not a bump.
whats a timer?
maybe you need to talk to your guys to didn't see to many striaght passes out of the barney mobile and the knob wasn't even twisted yet was it.

Converter is in the box:( Talked to hughes on the way home Thursday afternoon, they are going to make it spragless and I think I will loosen it up a little:) 5lbs dont do nothing compaired to the old ones:shrug: And your right I am not running in the letters on the gauge ( about 10psi ):D And I did have the best et and speed of everyone on my first attempt at a full pass:p :p so quit screwing around and put a controler on Rays car :stick: Because I'm not going to wait around for you guys to run a number and I can see your crew doesnt do well under pressure:dead: :D

You are just skeered because we had ya by .2 in the 1/8 on your " best pass " :D

P.S. better call Neil Chance for a real converter

Well if it isnt the other tuner:rolleyes: And what was the time of your first attempt at a full pass this year? couldnt get it down the track if I remember right:shock: Just for your info. You still havent made it to my best 1/8mi 5.41 135:nono: and your 1/4mi speed is well........ A little Slow:bang: Ray would be in the game already but his crew has taken too many spills on their skateboards:shrug:  Its hard to watch you guys push it in the trailer every time you take it out:nonono: You will do what I told you to do before the motor was even in the car before I even start to get worried:nice: Maybe if you sprayed it on the second bulb it would take the shock out of the car:eek: :D :D Do you think you guys can make that car any harder to drive:hail2: :hail2: Have a nice day!!!!!!!!1

santa can lick my ass

santa he has aborted 1 pass in 2 years, that was thursday when the track was so great past the eight. you car goes so straight, never has to lift, never goes in the other lane, never smashes the front suspension, never breaks the torque converter, never breaks the yoke, never has oil leaks.
well i will bow down from helping ray and maybe you, the super hero can do better. maybe we can put a progressive controler on, hang some sylinoids by duty cycling them and blow up a 20k engine.
no one in the history of racing has sprayed out of the hole, its imposible, guys getting 1.1-.2 60 ft times are for sure using progressive controlers 'not'
we have made maybe ten passes on nitrous with new combo, 2 with fogger. been in the 8's five times 4 times with just the plate. how many times did your big block/ 871 blown motor on nitrous go.
we broke driveline twice once front/ now rear. how many yokes did you break last year, ya thats rite.
our 5.5 eighth time was with a full 5 tenths in the delay cube you better hope we never figure out how to get it all out at once because you 520 inch twin 88mm turbo camaro just might be in trouble from a 417 small block with one carb. i've never hated chistmas this much in my life love wally.
