Well my girlfriend and I have been debating the unthinkable, sell the Mustang and buying a boat. She thinks that since the car is hardly ever driven, and sitting in the garage might as well use the space and Cash$ For a boat, maybe a nice mid 80's Bayliner or beachcraft.. 17' to 19'' foot.. We have both always wanted a boat, I love the mustang but there's not much room at the house for both.. opinios...

88 GT - Current best time - 15.26@90 mph - 2.4 60' time (Back to the drawing board!)

Is that the 1/8 mile?? wow

You took my crappy 1/4 mile time and then had to insinuate that its a 1/8th time to insult me? You could have just made fun of the time itself, but no, not you. You are the comedy king. You take it the extra mile. Bravo my friend. Bravo!

haha at the last post.

original question, if you will have more fun in a boat then the stang, then i think that answers itself. this states weather sucks though, i live by a lake and considered getting something for the water myself. in the end though i know i wouldnt use it enough.

A boat is a money pit that you will be able to use less than a concours quality Mustang in the PNW.

There are huge lines at all the boat lauches on nice days.

Small boats are probably the only vehicle that depreciates faster than a car.

Getting a boat worked on makes dealership labor rates look like a bargain.

Brad's doesn't work on Bayliners.

If you think you dont drive the stang much, just how often would you actually use a boat?? Unless you plan on doing alot of fishing, your use of the stang is and will always be more readily availble. If the real reason is because you always wanted one, save up your pennies and get one when the stang is paid off. I have both, but my boat will get much more use because I fish 2 to 3 days a wk 8 months out of the year.

1993c0bra is a PRICK! Write it down, take a picture I dont give a flying F***. Appears your in the mark for an EWOK :nono: I am tired of reading your sh** dude, take a freaking Hike....

Black Foxx if your referring to me then sorry! I'm just speaking my opinon like a couple of other's said! For me i just couldnt see getting a boat unless like they said you plan on doing alot of fishing sking (in the rain). Me myself iwould invest in a couple of quad's, atleast you can ride them year round no matter the weather! But that's just me i hate rain/water my wife want's a boat or jet ski and i tell her what for? I agree with saleenster, 1993 cObra you seem to be under alot of people's skin? GEZZZZZZZZZZ i hope i'm not that bad????? peace

Dude, I own a boat. My wife's family builds boats.

You can simulate boat ownership by standing fully clothed under a cold shower while tearing up hundred-dollar bills. Unless you're hardcore into the boating life, don't do it. It's the only hobby I know of that involves more money and frustration than building hot rods.

EDIT: I was referring to sailboats, but powerboating is even more expensive.

C'mon now, boats aren't that bad. I bought my boat brand new back in '95 and I've had a ton o fun with it over the years. Keep up on the basic maintenance and keep it clean and you'll have a lot of fun with it.

With that in mind, I've got a 21' cuddy cabin for sale. PM me if you're interested.

ive got a 91 ski nautique for sale.

How many hours? What kind of shape? Chevy or Ford engine? How much? PM me if you are serious. I have been looking for an older ski boat. I have been looking a buddies '96 Nautique, but it is kind of hammered for what he wants for it.

Life is pretty dry without a boat! :D

BOAT = MONEY PIT...

We also HAd a boat.. 1992 lowprofile omc cobra motor reinell 172M. It was fun the first year... untill people( non boat owners) hear you have a boat then they are your bestfriend but wait, they show up late at the dock, they dont pay for gas, dont bring food/drink, they want to waterski, tube etc then you drop them off at the dock and they are on thier merry way,

then the fun begins.... waiting in line to load up/load off ( depending on what ramp you go to in washington plan on atleast 1 hr for both) better leave first thing in the morning and plan on a 2nd ramp/lake/river because more then likely the first one will be full already.

Then you get to fill up the tank again, unload ALL the crap ( cooler etc), dry it out, wash all the towels, lay out all wet gear, wipe and clean up boat( if you were pickey like we were),

So my 2 cents.... if the above is no biggie be my guest and good luck OR buy ski-doos and non of the above really applies

btw.. Have you ever driven a boat? a few times at a VERY crowded boat ramp will anwser your decision.. on a hot day go sit at the ramp at lacamas lake or camas boat dock!!! :rlaugh: :rlaugh:

:D :D Misha

My Parents have a boat, an older sea swirl, waiting at the dock doesnt bother me as much as just trying to find a place to park the damn thing at home , we'll probally end up keeping the Stang and buying a boat later..what's the most expensive thing with owning a boat ? what made you guys sell your boat misha ?
