the worst luck ever

so im new to the forums i just got my car a couple months ago and started on the long list of things to buy last week. i have a 96 gt 5 spd in dark purple and mods already done are under drive pulleys, borla catback and or x, king cobra clutch, ford racing plug wires, 3.73s, and a tune. anyway i decided to start with my shifter and mods to go with it... like lightening up my clutch pedal so i can feel my leg after an hour of driving lol. but i swear i have the absolute worst luck. i bought a upr blu thunder shifter, adjustable handle, reeper t knob, clutch quadrant, firewall adj., cable, and clutch pedal adj. and finally got it all in yesturday and on the drive to a friends to put the stuff in my tie rod end broke and my entire tie rod got bent so now im stuck waiting til tuesday to go get one to put on

Don't get discouraged man. Remember its a 13 year old car. **** tends to break. When it breaks its a perfect time to upgrade

dont worry man, When i got my 98 GT, the day i got it the manifold blew, and if u thought thats B.S. right now, my 03 GT, my manifold took a dump, just barely fixed it saturday morning.

good stuff, other cables tend to stretch and eventually break.

thanks guys im a little less po'ed. i got all the stuff ordered from orielys so itll be in wednesday. and i got good news a possible job lined up so the vortech i had planned may be going in this spring not 2 years from now

Get a PI intake it will wake things up more than of that other stuff did (other than gears) sounds like you have the match to my 96 does it have the gold trim pkg also? i have the 2 tone interior charcoal and black with charcoal seats.

wow it sounds like i do i have the same interior exactly but no i dont have the gold trim. and yea i was thinking about it but im just gonna save up for a year and start a little bigger project for under the hood , im trying to do mods that will work for what i want later. and i think i have to take back my worst luck statement i went to get a piece for my interior today and they had a mustang in my color so i got a new non deer trashed hood for 150 bucks

The pi intake will go well with just about anything else you do to it! very nice upgrade very easy and cheap and a big noticable diffrence!

I've got 3.27s CAI PI intake catted X at catback shorty headers and i can run dead even with my buddys PI stang

well i looked into it and it looks like ill be doing full pi swap from an 03 so ill have the newer heads not widsors so while im in there i think a set of vt stage 1 cams will help out anyone have ideas of possible numbers with this setup? im hearing numbers from 60 to 110 hp gain.. im doubting that much but if i got 80 ponnies you wont hear me complaining
