theft light, car acting funny..once so far

ok, it started raining hard so i turned on the max a/c. soon after, the theft light went on and the car was acting really weird, started bucking and would die if i came to a stop. i have a 2003 gt, supercharged. I have not done anything for months to my car. i turned off the a/c and drove around for about 15 mins. it died a few more times but then, the car was back to normal! i drove about 100 more miles since then with no incidents and i tried to turn on the a/c yesterday in a parking lot to see what happened, and nothing. im still reluctant to use the a/c though what could be wrong, and does the maf ever get wet by the tire down there?

My battery needs to be changed and has a doesn't keep a charge now very well. When I started my stang up with the weak battery the other day, the theft light flashed until the car ran for a while. I'm guessing that the altenator charged the battery to an acceptable level so that all was OK from then on. Similiar symptoms that you had experienced so possibly your your battery be low?
