anyone else watch the big idea with donny deutch? his show tonight was about how theres gotta be a better way to do certain things and when u think of something, you should invent it and make millions. I was thinking... how can i replace my heatercore without taking off the dash?? anybody?

Use a plasma cutter and cut out the fire wall, replace core, weld fire wall back up, paint to match.

On second thought, just pull the dash. Or you could just bypass it and man up with a parka in the winter.

I would have to agree with Punisher! haha what the hell are you watching Donny Deuschbag for? haha! ......I dunno, i think the fox mustang is possibly the easiest dash to pull out of any car ive worked on. I had to pull a dash out of a Jeep CHerokee a couple months ago and there were no screws holding the lower portion of the dash on......IT WAS ALL RIVETED! what a pain in da balls!

well this is the second mustang ive had with no heat in the winter here in new england, and i pulled the dash on my 86 and replaced the heater core, but now my 90 needs one too, and i just dont want to go through it again, my car was a mess for a month because i screwed up the headlight switch wires. I was hoping someone would say i could remove the glovebox door and get it out from underneath.

you could have done that with the 86 mustang you had. Unless it had A/C i believe. My heater core on my 86 comes out the glove box.
