im gonna put in a new thermostat tomorrow and ive got a few questions...
Ive got 2 of em right now, one NAPA brand and one Stant Superstat brand. Which one would you guys recommend? Btw theyre both stock temp.
Also where exactly do you guys drill the hole? on the flange? Is this necessary? Thanks

Eric, I recommend a Mr Gasket. I know it's a pain to get another stat but the quality is leaps and bounds beyond the parts store stuff (IMHO) and they are only a couple bucks more.

Just MHO.

Good luck.

I would also do the Mr. Gasket. And perhaps switch to a 180 degree t-stat. It helps to keep our cars cool due to their propensity to ping and every little bit helps.

There is no drilling required, I'm not even sure where drilling a T-Stat would apply?

Adam, he's talkin about drilling a bleed hole in the rim of a stat that doesnt have a bleed from the factory. Your Mr G stat obviously has the jiggle valve already in place. The fact that it is also balanced and flows a bit more than some of the cheaper ones doesnt hurt either.

I just installed the Mr. Gasket 180* thermostat. Looks to be much better quality, and only ran me about $8. The part number for that is 4364.
