These Are My New Rims!!

Thanks Paul...I know youre the expert on this since you have done so much wheel research before you finally bought
I will tell you that my current chromers were bought in 1996. The ONLY flaking is where the tire weights were attached. NOW, there is some pitting on a couple rims where the double bars meet the outer lip...Im sure that is from the rain down here. Im assuming the chroming methods are better now than 8 years ago.

Anyway, For $800, you cant really complain if you get 6-7 years out of the rims. As far as the body kit, the next time I paint the car, Im LOSING it, and just getting an RR SVO hood like Oinks...That said, I think either rim would look good, but that may take a couple of years more.

I think tho, I may go with the ARE's, since as you put, they are less common.

IM still just waiting to find a pic of them showing a good angle of the deep dish.
Thanks again.

If any of you guys get the brother performance catalog, check out the front cover of it. It has a fine ass girl on it, and she is on a stang. Look at the rims on the stang, they look pretty bad ass to me.

I've tried every product I can find that polishes/cleans aluminum and I cannot get the stains out. I have never had a chrome wheel flake off. If it is made by a decent company it shouldnt flake off if you take care of it.
I'm going to end up getting my wheels powercoated so that the finish will outlast my car. :nice:

I've had a similar experience with a set of weld draglites. I had them on my last car over the winter, and never polished them in that time (i'm lazy).
When it came time to get them looking good again i had to polish each wheel for HOURS to get the black "stains" out of them. I personally will never buy wheels again that need to be polished all of the time like that.

BAD NEWS: The seller of those ARE's on Ebay Emailed me back that they DO NOT have the 17's any wider than 9" :notnice:
