Thief

There is a THIEF using this site to sale parts, goes by the user name Lordghost666
Name is Michael A Gallo lives in
60 Prospect St.
Cranston RI. 02910

Got me on a Yates belt drive for $450 check cleared on 4/19/06 and can't get in touch with him since.

Go here and file a criminal complaint.

I did this once, and I was amazed how fast an effective it was.

They will send the jerk a stern letter notifying him that a criminal investigation will be initiated unless he makes good on the deal within 45 days (IIRC). You will get some paperwork too -- a form to send them if he does comply, that will end the investigation.

If he doesn't want to comply in the allotted time frame, he will get an unwelcome visit from a USPS Inspector or two. Make no mistake, he's not getting a visit from "Cliff Clavin" the mailman. The Postal Inspectors are badge-sportin', gun-totin', door-kickin' bad@sses who take mail fraud rather seriously. It is a federal offense.

there is a guy on the corral.net in RI. and the name sounds familiar doing the same stuff. I remember reading the post. One of the corral memebers got quite a bit of info on the guy.

I bought from bill302 and he is good to buy from with fast shipping. We should have like a SN member feedback type of thing or a trader rating
I suggested the trader rating idea in the "forum feedback/suggestions" and my thread was deleted. I guess the mods didn't like the idea?

I would feel much more comfortable buying parts from people on here if there was a trader rating system in use.

this is a problem at many MANY car sites on the internet. Every forum that I've been apart of for any length of time has always had a couple of *******s ripping fellow members off.

I bought from Tunedin302 and he did everything right! I sold something to Edbert a while back too, he paid up instantly and all went well. Those two are on my super duper approved list!:nice:

Just got to use you gut feeling and kinda know who were talking to.
Yeah I know funny thing is he talked to ya every time you called but as soon as your check cleared no contact at all.
Claimed he was in the middle of moving but I found the house number with the address 401-941-6544 and cell # 401-632-5866
